Vanilla and boysenberry is my go to. Really nice and great value at half price

How does this brand compare with some of the other mass producers of tubs, such as Streets and Peters?

When I was young, Bulla was considered one of the "cheap" brands.

You're kidding yourself if you think Streets or Peters is better than Bulla.
      Bulla's the best!!

    • this is completely different from the old blue tub 2 and 4ltr bulla ice cream from years ago. This is highly recommended.

Most brands cant call their product Ice Cream legally as they do not meet the criteria of regulations re: Ice Cream. This specific range of Bulla products just happens to be one of very few that is Ice Cream. Example, Streets Blue Ribbon is not Ice Cream. Strangely, Woolies in the Homebrand labelled product is also Ice Cream.

Another thing I noticed is most use reduced fat milk, which usually means more sugar. Bulla uses normal milk and cream, no reduced fat. Hopefully that means less sugar.

These are very regularly half price. Bought half price at woolies only a week or so ago

  • Got excited seeing it was only 108 calories per serve until I saw they expect 20 servings per tub.

      Potato / potatoe
      Tub / serving

      You pick the correct spelling

So your serve is 1 tub 👍

      • Nah I’m not that bad…. I stretch it out to 3 serves 😬

  • …ice cream is like crack to ozbargainers

In for the Mint Choc Chip, my favorite.

  • I've been to two Woolies looking for the vanilla & boysenberry, but both have only been selling Choc Chip, Vanilla, and C&C.

    • Late response but yes I find my local Woolworths also doesn't stick the vanilla and boysenberry, I usually get it from Coles when it's on special.
