Ergolux Sit-Stand Computer Desk with Dual Motor (White) 140x70cm $329 or 2 for $559.98 + Delivery @ Kogan

160

Don't know how long is this promo going to last but it seems like a good deal for the Dual Motor version.

Weirdly, the Single Motor is more expensive and there is no black version of the Dual Motor.

Usually $499.

Get a further 15% off with purchase of 2 Desks - $559.98 ($279.99 each), credit to Duckman

Not bad. I have been eyeing off the OW ones that sit on your desk and that is priced similar, but you need a desk to put it on.

    • Ive been looking at the IKEA one. This looks like a prety good deal ?

      • IKEA BEKANT is single motor version.

This one is dual motor so hopefully will last longer.

        • +2

Does dual/single affect longevity? I would've thought it's just how fast or powerful it goes up/down. The one thing I do like about the IKEA one is that it has a little net underneath for a bunch of the power bricks and stuff. I don't know much about kogan

          • +1

@HappyXD: Not sure about the dual motor facts.

Maybe someone can help to confirm.

Good point about the cable management although you can still buy your own and screw them in.

There is a review here that talks about the cable management:

@meong: Sick thanks for that. Only thing that I have to figure out now is the max height. According to the review it's 1.16m but it isn't on kogans site I think. https://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/spr/59282088/

This is the IKEA one I'm looking at for reference. The price difference is big so Kogan seems more appealing right now

Edit: nvm height is in kogans pictures

  • Damn, I’m after a black one.

  • I don’t know about this one but we got a similar one from Costco and we do like the Costco one.

The main advantage of these is you can set the desk for the height that suits you. The “standing” bit we barely use. The Costco one does have a drawer, which is useful. The thing I do like with this one is there isn’t a cross bar to act as an impediment for your feet.

    • i have seen the Costco one and it looks very good, black and and white available and usb ports on the side. It's dearer though
      https://www.costco.com/tresanti-adjustable-height-desk.produ…

    • That one looks tiny.

      • Looks good with glass top. 200mm shorter in length.

      • It’s big enough for a lap top, screen, mouse and printer. Smaller footprint can be good dependent on where you want to put it. The funniest thing is if we don’t lock off the mechanism and one of the cats walks over the buttons.

I have the manual version from IKEA and it's great. Very easy and quick to raise and lower … And no power point needed.

    • Are you able to provide a link? Looking at getting a height adjustable desk and would prefer manual type

    • How many times do you have to turn the crank handle to raise or lower it?

    • What kind of weight do you have on the desk? I am thinking of a x34p gaming monitor, mouse and keyboard and I am wondering if I can get away with a hand crank.

"Get 15% off when you purchase 2 or more from this range. Must be purchased in the same transaction."

Anyone in Brisbane keen to go halves in a purchase so we both save $49? Brings the cost down to $280.

    • Hi I sent you PM :)

    • I am still looking for someone who wants to purchase one of these desks and save $49. PM me if interested.

I have found there are on-desk risers that I want, and that's also included in the buy two of the range save 15% deal ..

After talking with Duckman and checking the Kogan site .. turns out the full desks have expensive postage not covered in the Kogan First free postage, while the on-desk risers are available with free postage, and a desk and riser together has no free postage and quite expensive postage.

So I am also looking for someone in Brisbane who wants an on-desk riser so we can group-buy together and avail the 15% discount together.

Anyone wants a full desk or something from the ergolift range that is not in kogan first postage, check with Duckman, if you want something from the range that is in kogan first, please check with me :)

Memory function is very handy. Just press the button once and it will bring to the level that you have preset. Otherwise you have to keep holding the up or down button. You will be doing this multiple times. As you cant stand for very long too.

  • I got the ikea becant electric in December. It stopped lifting within 10 days with very occasional usage over 3-4 days in total. Ikea were difficult to deal with. I was told I had to wait weeks for parts to be ordered from overseas. I had no choice but to return and refund. Other reviews on IKEA's website mention that it stopped working as well, makes me think that it's not an isolated case. The other issue with becant is that the overall quality feels very second grade. The finish of the top feels cheap, not smooth and scratch resistant like my old desk. The button to lift lower is hard to press, the speed is poor. Definitely not worth the price even if you get it to work trouble free. I wouldn't go to ikea for quality any more. Their rechargeable batteries are ok though.

  • I think this deal deserves more upvotes. After looking around at prices of similar desks, this one really seems to be a good deal, especially with the extra 15% off.

  • Merged from 2 x Ergolux Sit-Stand Computer Desk with Dual Motor (White) 140 x 70cm $559.98 ($279.99 each) + Delivery @ Kogan
    Go to Deal

A deal was posted earlier for this desk but I think a lot of people missed the special promotion running at the moment which offers an extra 15% off when purchasing two desks. $279.99 (plus shipping) for a dual motor, height adjustable desk with good reviews is a great bargain in my opinion. So if you and a buddy both want a new desk, this might be a great option for you.

    • Anyone in Sydney wanna split?

      • yea me

        • Relax I’ll split with you @unirand

    • Anyone in Adelaide?

      • +2

        Nobody lives in Adelaide

        • +2

That's wrong. At least one person lives in Adelaide.

    • I noticed something interesting about the delivery cost. Putting in 2000 or 3000 or 4000 results in a much lower delivery cost than putting in, say, 2002 or 4002. Anyone know if it's possible to have a parcel this big delivered to a post office in the CBD?

      • +1

From Australia Post's website, items that are not suitable for parcel collect include, "Parcels heavier than 22kg and parcels greater than 105cm in any dimension." Bummer.

    • I'm keen to split one in Sydney! Anyone?

      • +1

        Pmed you :)

    • Should be merged with original deal

This is very tempting price, but remember warranty is only 1 year as compared to IKEA (10 years) & Officeworks (15 years).

If there is an issue with this table after 1 year, which are very common with sit stand desks, your $329 will be wasted.

Better to stick with a brick & mortar store for peace of mind.

    • Definitely do not go for anything with less than a 5 year warranty. And be aware that many manufacturers only provide the seemingly lengthy warranty on the desk/mechanical components ONLY and not the electrics.

  • Anyone know how the Artiss compares? If it compares at all?

    • +1

      Single vs dual motor
      70kg vs 100kg weight limit
      20mm/s vs 32mm/s speed

Artiss has good reviews on Amazon but this is down to $296 + shipping, I'm going to purchase the Ergolux today.

Not that its completely relevant but I have an Artiss monitor desk mount and its pretty good for the price.
