  Sapporo cans are brewed in Vietnam and taste pretty ordinary. Thought they were like the brewed in Japan Asahi cans but after tasting them I was quite disappointed.

      Only those made for export to overseas markets. I am pretty sure Asahi available in most bittle shops in Australia is brewed in China. If for some reason Aldi gets the real stuff in (ie: brewed in Japan) I will be stocking up.

      Most are now days but the Asahi 500ml cans and the Asahi Black are still from Japan, at least they were the last time I bought them. There is a massive difference between asahi cans and asahi bottles.

  OT: I once had an Asahi brewed in Ireland - from a Chinese restaurant in BNE. It was better then the China brew though.

  Checked out the local ALDI last night - Asahi bottles were made in China (shame as it pales in comparison to the Japan brewed stuff).
