EDIT - Reviews about the product https://www.kogan.com/au/review/null-used-as-demo-apple-ipho…

    • Yeah why did people who had issues still give 4-4.5 stars?

If you purchase please disinfect screen. I have seen how these demo screens are handled.

  • Warranty?

Big risk buying a demo through Kogan

If you believe these are just ex-demo and not an assortment of used phones of unknown provenance,
then Kogan has a bridge to sell you:

Exactly. They've been used, then before reselling them, they've demo'd that they turn on.

Just took my daughter's back to Apple store today as sim says no service, Apple advised it's a 2017 phone from Japan, and no Apple warranty in Aus, even though he did try and restore it didnt work, now have to try and claim warranty through Kogan

Display model on a phone that was released more than 3 years ago… I wouldn’t personally go near it.

    • Not you but there is a market demand for used iphones, also demos and ex-displays. Try to look for a second hand one at this price on Gumtree or Ebay. It is one of the reasons people buy iPhones as they know they can get a good chunk back when they move on …

    • I don't see a problem if you buy it ex-demo from a trusted shop, and get to see it before paying.
The 7 is still a good phone.

      • A few problems I can think off would be used screen time and reduced battery life/health due to being plugged in and always on for hundreds of hours, if not longer.

    Interesting rrp they’ve quoted. $759.

You can buy a brand new 8 from App,e for $779

  • Kogan is the most disgusting merchant ever.

    • how is that?i have $500 credit to spend wondering if its the kogan issue or third party marketplace

  • I wouldn’t touch a thing from Brus Australia / Techrific. Bought a “new” iPhone 5c from them a few years back. Months later had intermittent board issues. Took it to Apple store and was advised it was a 3rd party refurb. Spent next few months back and forward for a replacement, but they kept sending back the same phone. Had to involve Consumer Victoria to finally get a refund.

Do yourself a favour and spend a bit extra for new from a reputable seller and have 2 years piece of mind warranty from Apple.
