So my mobile broadband plan is about to expire soon, I never really used much data for this sim because it was my backup phone.
Vodafone used to offer this fantastic plan where you would pay $60 for a 12 month long data only pack with around 10 gb of data. Absolutely fine for a phone I use very sparingly. I've accumulated quite a bit of data initially and have been carrying over around 30gb of data each year
Problem is, it looks like they've changed it and no longer offer that recharge. A $60 recharge now gives you 25gb with 120 days to use it, while a 365 day recharge now costs $125 for 40gb.
It's now an absolutely terrible plan, especially once you consider boost offers 80gb for 365 days WITH unlimited texts, national and international calls for $130-150 (while vodafone gives you 20 texts or something).
Does anyone know of any plan which is similar in costs like the old recharge?
Dodo have a $5 per month plan, with no data & unlimited national calls & unlimited national & international texts.
The drawback is that you'll start to get extremely annoying spam calls from Dodo sales, where they'll call your phone multiple times a day, and then hang up as soon as you pick up the phone. At least the spam number is identifiable & can be blocked.
