Great game and the cheapest this has gone for on the Australian eshop is $22.49. Just sign up and use your Australian Paypal with no issues.

Please note you need to activate on a US account, I just change my region using the accounts page, activate, then change back.

You need to have no credit on your AU account to change regions.i In that case create a second account on your switch and use the US region or spend that cash.

Nintendo Accounts

Also! Don't forget you will get 100 coins on your account, for the US store only. So can pick up a throw away game on sale or wait for future shovelware.

this game is unforgiving, and so pretty.
    Just like my fiancé.

I love the artwork and art-style of this game, similar to sklzthtklz, but it is so darn difficult. I really, really want to enjoy it but I’m so terrible that it just becomes frustrating.

Still, the artwork and style is magnificent.

    • It's not for everyone like any game. Sometimes I like really difficult games such as this or Project Miami, Super Meat Boy or Clustertruck because you get a sense of skill progression, insanity and eventual triumph.

      • Do you mean Hotline Miami? I feel that game or something like Celeste are different to this in that levels are really quick. Everything about Cuphead looks long and punishing. Rewarding memorisation of levels through trial and error more than experimentation or perseverance

      • Yeah I totally agree, it would definitely be enjoyable if you’re into tough games that’s for sure.

      • Im still stuck on the second stage and must have died like twenty times

Yeah, too hard to finish? No time to git gud, I'm too old for that

I'd love to play it but I'm still getting smashed by Enter The Gungeon, I can't take on another unforgiving game right now.

    • so satisfying when you beat a boss without taking a hit tho. I also recommend doing the elevator fetch quests to unlock immediate access to lower levels, it gives a sense of progression to the game

      • I've just figured this out, the dude was in the shaft on floor 3 and asked me for 3 blanks but every time I've been through there since he doesn't show up and I've got all the blanks he wanted! All good though, I'm reaching for 4 on most goes now. My new favourite weapon is the fightsabre, that thing is amazing.

Another interesting game on the site is Hotline Miami Collection for US$12.49.

For those who don't know/are unaware, the second game is banned in Australia. First game is great (don't know anything about the sequel), but because they're sold as a collection and not individually, both games are, by default, unavailable on the Aus eshop.

    Decent price too imo.

Played the first one and LOVED it.

    • Thanks for the heads up, grabbed Hotline Miami and Cuphead

  • Hmmm, can’t seem to change the region of my account. Anyone else successful?

    • +1

Yes I did it no problems. Such change region by following the link up above

    • +1

Yeah I couldn’t either. From what I can tell it’s because I have an existing credit balance on my eshop account. Apparently you can’t change regions while you’ve got a balance.
Looks like I’ve gotta spend money to save money!

      • I did not have any Nintendo credit in my account. I guess that's why I didn't have any problems

After a lot of trouble with this, I found out that having a linked Nintendo Network ID account from older Nintendo devices stops you from changing your region, once I removed that, it was smooth sailing from there. As Brendo said below, apparently having funds in your account causes issues too, but gold coins are fine.

      • Ah cheers, so that does seem to be why the region change option is greyed out for me. Once I unliked my NNID I could change it, however I had to click ok to giving up my existing balance before it would let me change. Now I have to find something else to buy..

      • I don’t seem to have. A NNID linked … could mine be locked because Im in a family group?

        • No. Usually the only reason you're unable to change regions is if you still have money in your AUS account

  • Does changing the region of your account have any problems down the line?

    • No

    • I changed it back and forth with no consequences for ages. The only time I had an issue was when I needed to ring Nintendo because I had 3c on the account and it wouldn't let me swap from USD back to AUD while there was money on the account.

  • Is this a good price? Been meaning to play this at some point. Heard the art style is amazing

    • Yes it's not even this cheap on PC. If I had a Switch I'd be picking this up for sure, seems like the perfect game to play on a Switch as well. Hmm, might even pick it up anyway, since I'll be getting a Switch at some point eventually…

      • Apparently a physical copy is coming as well with some extras

Thanks OP! Also picked up Stardew Valley today via the Argentina Estore for around $2.50. Good deal.

    • How?

    • How do you do that? Do you buy argentina eshop card online or does paypal work on the eshop in argentina (paypal doesn’t work on USA one for me)

    • I would also love to know how you got money into your Argentinian account.

    • I tried 5 different credit cards couldn't get it to work. Any tips?

      • Had the same problem. Called NAB, asked what was going on and they suggested it was being blocked by the Nintendo store. Ended up striking lucky and someone on Reddit did the purchase for me.

Did some googling to see whether you can buy prepaid Visa cards in Argentina for next time and doesn't appear so unfortunately.

The other option is using Privacy.com which works but we can't use it in Australia as you need to link a US account to the privacy account. Unless anyone has ideas around this?

Sorry I can't be of help.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Bought with transferwise card. finally, i found a place to use this card
    thanks OP

    Attn:
Target US later charged me 0.72 USD as tax in a separate transaction.

    • Me too!!

    • +5

I'm not sure if it will work but try setting up a shipping address in one of the sales tax free states: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire or Oregon. And maybe if you place an order in the future it wont charge you tax.

  • Looks like it's back to 19.99 usd
