I was the 'big boys' would realise the demand for big batteries.

Size\thickness hasn't been an issue for at least 3 generations of devices.

    • but then how would they get you to buy another one after 2 years :)

Galaxy S11 is expected to be announced February 11th

I believe the S10 will drop further in price in the following weeks

    • True but just over a dozen stores in the country still have this in stock. They're clearing it out to make way so you may not even be able to purchase one easily once the S11 releases.

      • Well they also released the S10 lite and note 10 lite as well.

        • Always have some new release.

        • seriously don't get it, by the time they are released the discount price on ozbargain for s10 will be lower than the subpar version of the s10 and note 10 versions

          • @[Deactivated]: But most likely discontinued.

          • @[Deactivated]: ya but there are so many people out there who don't have ozbargain, want the latest phone, without caring about the price.

We need these people for retailers to survive to offer good deals to ozbargainers.

The S9 held its price quite well initially following the s10 release - this was to the point where $650 for a 64GB S9 was still considered a deal in May (and S9+ $722).
Don't expect that significant of a drop - Samsung still want to incentivise customers paying 'just a little bit more' for the S11 range.

      • True I’ve been watching prices for awhile and the s9 price is still right up there .
Saw this deal and got a prism green one this morning .

They now have the Lite line and Es to occupy the lower price points, no need to drop the price as aggressively as previously.

      • i see what the reason for cheaper versions of phones are for now

  • For this phone, can we use $500 credit https://www.jbhifi.com.au/pages/jb-mobile ?

    • Looks like it. But then your sick with Telstra $65/mth plan.

      I wonder if JB/Telstra will offer a port-in like they did 2yrs ago. $60/mth including a phone (was a pixel 2xl).

  • White and prism green is also same price
And available is more compare to black colour

  • Samsung is really confusing the consumers with the new S10 lite model. It's bigger than an S10+

  • First time user here people. What are everyone's thoughts on this deal? Currently using s8 on optus $60 a month that ends this month. Thinking to get this, seems to work out a few hundred cheaper in the long run but don't know if better deals will come up once the 11 comes out. *would keep my s8 but it's giving a few troubles. Thanks

I believe this is a good deal for a 512gb dual sim S10 with 24months Samsung Australia warranty. It might get cheaper but stocks are already low and I doubt more will be available.

I upgraded from a S7edge to this phone. Price matched at Harvey Norman so I could use my Amex and get screen protection.

  • Thanks trip for your input, much appreciated

  • Was hoping for the 128GB model at the $799-$899 mark, but not sure when/if that will happen, so might grab this one. Thanks for posting.
