Thanks will buy. Anyone know if these are good?

These taste terrible when comparing to KB…

      • Not the worst, but it's definitely worth paying the extra dollar for the KB version.

How does this compare to KB prawn gyoza from wooly and Coles?

I cooked up a mixed batch of these and the KB and asked the family for their opinions. They rated these ones slightly over the KB.

Made from mostly imported ingredients (Vietnamese? Chinese?!!)

    No thanks.

Most of the population is of imported ingredients including those from the first fleet. Pot calling kettle black?

Not gonna lie, I read that as Uber Eats Prawn Gyoza and was wondering what Uber Eats were doing selling food at ALDI.

    • +2

Those who read UberEats needs to pay +$5

  • is there any better veggie gyoza than the KB ones? Theyre the best i could find but I'd prefer something less garliccy

You'll need to go to the Chinese shops. There is some made in Taiwan ones 400g for $3.50 at least in Melbourne anyways.

      • Cheers. I didnt think of that. Going straight to the freezer section next time. Hopefully it says Vegetarian in English too

  • I'll try them but normally get Mr.Chen when they're on sale at Woolies or Coles.

  • The pork ones are good and competitive with Asian grocers. Safer supply chain, too (less chance of them being defrosted and then refrozen which can be seen when ice crystals inside the packet - common in Asian grocers IME.)

  • Yes the ALDI Pork ones (I think) are quite good, and they are made in Australia from mostly Australian ingredients, which is very important to me. I havnt tried the famous (ozb famous) ones that are often spoke about on here, but Im suss on food made in some Asian countries, even if it is Asian food.

  • Showing $8.99 on a visit couplaweeks ago :/ (VIC SE)
