What about prawn har gow, like Mr Chen's?
mr chen is made in vietnam?
Searching past deals I would say so :)
Are these prawns grown in the shit infested waters of asia
Genuinely misread your username as johncrap.
In answer to your question i m not too sure. Where specifically are these waters that you speak of?
Jokes aside, I agree with the comment. Hence, tried steering clear alot of food from SE Asia.
Alot of these (if not all) are farmed and they spread all sort of chemical into the water (pesticide, and antibiotic to name two).
Dirty Waters, Dangerous Fish is why I never buy basa or prawns from Asia. Even worse than the water they're farmed in is the feed that is used.
no its from the plagued waters of Australia
Funny as i misread your user name as chocobras.
Admit i don't mind a bra full of choco's
Its well known and documented that a lot of asian.waters are contaminated with human waste
hehe that is funny!
Ah i wasn't aware of that. Every day is a learning day :)
and OzB is contaminated with you
Calling spade a spade is fine but sometimes how you say it matters John rap
Just curious if anyone got diarrhoea having the prawn gyozas?
No; been eating them for years. Used to get them from Costco, but it seems they've switched to a different supplier
I don't know how, but vegetable version of Gyoza is fine for me, the prawn version seems to give me stomache as well.
My stomach is fine with the vegetable version as well.
So Woolies 1kg was better deal or this is better at 750g?
That's more important
$1.07 per 100g (Same price as Woolworths 1kg bag when 50% off)
Honestly these are not that great, the wrapping is decent but filling is bland, low quality and I couldn't taste any shrimp. Dumplings from any Asian market are much better and cost the same or cheaper
Yeah it aint filled like the picture. Dare I say 35% air in those gyozas
And are made in AU with mostly AU ingredient.
Made with gold ingredient?
Can't say the ones from Asian groceries are better. More of the same. You can't expect quality prawn with these prices.
Veg gyoza at Aldi was a revelation… We messed up the first batch with less steam. Second batch was steamed properly and if we had a good dipping sauce would have been better than some we had at takeaways.
not enough steam? what do you mean?
the instructions on the Aldi ones say to fry them first. Then steam with a cover. The first batch I made did not get enough of the steaming.
Good deal, but surely these aren't our favourite dumplings???
