  • Min of 3…. that’s a lot of hand wash.

    • +4

they should drop the minimum quantities and have a minimum spend

      • Yeah. Seems like a nice price but I’ll pass on 3 bottles.

      • +2

Agree with the minimum quantities. I regularly find grocery items I want, but the quantities make it not practical. The man has literally just poured himself a box of cereal and said we needed more… I look it up on Amazon and it's a good price, but I have to buy 4 boxes!!

        • +6

          Your comment makes NO SENSE
If he LITERALLY poured a box of cereal himself, then 4 boxes would LITERALLY last you 4 days

          • +3

@nikoris: Thanks for nicely pointing out my typo.

            Box=bowl.

            Again, apologies.

          • @nikoris: He might only eat cereal once a year?

          • -1

@nikoris: There are two definitions of "literally" now…

in a literal manner or sense; exactly.
"the driver took it literally when asked to go straight over the roundabout"

            INFORMAL
used for emphasis while not being literally true.
"I was literally blown away by the response I got"

            :P

            • -1

@TailsK: You literally copy-pasted the definition from Google lol

My issue with literally is people overuse it, i come across this adverb every two minutes when I'm browsing Reddit or forums

And in most cases, they use it in a bad way that doesnt add anything, for example
"I literally had a haircut yesterday"

Why do you need to put emphasis on that? We believe you mate….

      • It comes prepackaged in sets of 3, from the manufacturer.

They are also available at Costco, in the same sets of 3 bottles each.

        • +1

But you can buy 4, so they know how to open the package!

  • +3

Pretty good price. Aldi 1L refillable is $2.75

  • +2

    $6.50 at Woolworths

Can’t find at Coles but they have other flavours on special for $3.25

    • +3

Can’t find at Coles but they have other flavours on special for $3.25

You know you really shouldn't drink that stuff….

  • +6

are these really killer deals or do i wait until coles or woolies does a 50% off special on this which they do regularly …..and just out it into the shopping trolley, save on packaging for shipping, delivery van and get it via a reduced car on foot print ……. had 3 packages from amazon today for small stuff and reality is if it wasn’t for prime and free shipping i would have just bought next time 50% off at coles or woolies …..
i’m not a greenie but i don’t mind doing my bit for the environment if it doesn’t cost more money , just shopping smarter.

    • +3

I just impulse buy this stuff from the couch. Similar sentiments when I ponder the misuse of fossil fuels in order to deliver me a single stick of deodorant.

    • are these really killer deals

The product is pointless when compared to soap so no.

Every time you use a hot air hand dryer people are concentrating the bacterial soup we live in, including fecal bacteria around flushing toilets obviously, and ramming into their skin cells. This is done in a very misguided effort to avoid bacteria. The death toll from using these devices is about zero AFAIK.

      • +1

It’s (profanity) soap not a hand dryer

    • +4

You wouldn’t pick up 50 cent if you walked past it on a street but if you see an ozbargain deal that saves you 50 cents while sitting on your couch you’ll instantly buy it 😉.

      • And also make a comment here about how you saved a few cents.
Or cry when you just missed the deal.

        It's funny to me

        • It’s hilarious. But I’m basically laughing at myself.

          • @SlappersOnly: As long as you are laughing, it's all in goof humour mate

            • +1

@nikoris: Bonus if you pick up the 50 cents and save money on your amazon order because you can then use the handwash after touching the dirty coin.

      • If you save the 50c, then pick up the one you saw on the street, soon you'll have one dorrah

      • I would pick up 5 cents….:)

  • Temporary out of stock now

  • +2

Other flavours are still available.. Only the linked 1 is sold out…

    eg. Lime, Orange etc..

    Just update ur link OP..

    • Do you like to drink them? I think these are meant to be for your hands tho 🤔

  • +5

Avoid any hand wash marked antibacterial. Soap is enough, it's unnecessary to kill 99.9% of germs and encourages bacteria resistance.

    • What you should say is that any hand wash kills same amount of bacteria

      • Hand wash doesn't kill bacteria, it supposedly pushes it off your hands but the bacteria remains and can cause harm.

    • Avoid any hand wash marked antibacterial.

      Soap is enough…

      But alcohol is better.

    • -5

      I disagree…
And I'm someone who uses anti-bac all the time and rarely ever gets sick.

    • +2

The FDA in the USA is banning anti-bacterial soaps because of the presence of triclosan which is potentially harmful.

They asked that companies provided evidence that soaps marked as anti-bacterial were more effective at removing germs than standard soaps, and to date no company has.

(Article from 2017, but still interesting)

  • Regarding the 'subscribe & save' option on Amazon, is there any reason why someone wouldn't just subscribe to get a cheaper price upfront and then cancel the 'subscription'?

    • +4

      You must be new here?

    • It’s an instant order. You can’t add more to the cart. So a $2 sub n save order of a pack of gum will be followed up with $7+ shipping without amazon prime.

      • Huh?! What are you talking about?

        • Sub and save doesn’t get added to your shopping cart. It takes you straight to placing your order. If you place a sub and save order under $39 and aren’t a Amazon Prime member you have to pay postage.

          • @SlappersOnly: Arr no.. Pretty sure sub & save is free postage, Prime or not…

          • @SlappersOnly: Absolutely not!

From the Subscribe & Save main page on Amazon (my emphasis):

            3. Select your address for FREE shipping

Each scheduled shipment is free. If you want your first shipment sooner, you can either meet the minimum spend or pay the usual fee.

So, provided you accept the offered scheduled delivery date for your first shipment, there is no delivery charge, irrespective of the order total.

I have also confirmed this by going through all the steps of a Sub & Save Order, bar clicking on the final "Place your order" button.

  • flavours

    Mmm… yes, tasty.

  • +1

For a moment I thought I was looking at whiskey…. might need more sleep… damn OZB

  • Minimum order of 5 for the orange flavour, minimum order of 4 for the lime flavour…

  • just be careful when buying new soaps, i recently founded that some brand my hand don't agree to and the product drys out and cracks the skin on my hands. at least with coles you it easier to return the bottle.
