Westpac Not Honouring Their Cashback Promo

Hi Guys, Basically sign up this credit card early July 2019 to get their cashback promo

Spent the $400 within 3 months requirements, but didn't received their $200 cashback.
Called them earlier during 3 months of activation, one of their nicer customer service rep
said the cashback will kick in the next month and requested me to call back then.

Totally forgot about it. Fast forward to today, spoke to one of their ruder reps
Saying I am not eligible because I didn't spend $400. I have all the statements with me
and pretty sure i spend more than $500 in 2 months. She later double check and its correct.
After that, put me on hold for a while then later saying they don't have this promo in their system.

Lesson learned: Should print screen their website to have proof of their old promo
Anyone had the same experience? Long shot but perhaps someone has the print screen :P

    YEAH, Quit a $100k per year, absolute cruise fest, GOV job with Long Service leave. On the advice of a WESTPAC Business consultant. When the time came to act upon his advice, no sorry, more hoops then previously advised.

    Everything in writing from now on.

        Was offered redundancy from work. Spoke with Westpac business banker about a business idea. Was told that having a job was irrelevant and the deeds to a property was all that was required with guarantor from the property owner.

        So took redundancy from a lifetime job in a regional town.

        Time comes, contact Westpac. Yes a job would be of great help and the property owner needs to be involved in the day to day running of the business.

    It is not possible that Westpac would not have any record of their promotions.

    Id be going to Financial Ombudsman and lodging a complaint. They(westpac) must have records of the promotion. Even the thumbnail linking from ozbargain shows some of the details about 200 big ones.

      Definitely this. But first, tell Westpac you are going to do it, and watch them magically find records of the promo and your eligibility within days.

    Westpac customer service is shocking, half of the people you speak to sound like complete morons. Try to escalate to the complaints department

    Similar thing happened to me! Keep contacting them (make sure they are different reps)! My luck was with the live chat (after you login on the web). I found one with higher power. Cashback came in within 7 days. It needs to be escalated. The lowlies are absolutely useless and have no power. I remember it took me a week of hassling. Good luck!

    UPDATE: Contact them through the complain and feedback page in their website. Got an email the next day, and saying it was their mistake and will transfer through the cashback in the next 2 business days. Thanks all for the help! Power to the OzBargainers :)
