Get Mad Machines and Royal Booty Quest for free by going to the SteamDB pages:

Click install located top right of the page, it will prompt to open Steam client, wait for Steam to open and the games will be added to your library.

Or if you use ASF, just open the console press "c" and paste:

      Sorry I never went further than just reading the description so someone else with more knowledge can maybe write up a quick how to quick step guide if they know how to install it and use it.

      Example:

      1. Download file

      2. Install file

      3. Run file

      4. copy paste !addlicense asf 163320,308559

      5. Press Enter

      6. You now own etc etc

      Someone can fill in the blanks lol unless this will do haha

        That was a very enlightening video. Honestly didn't know why the packages were free but looks like it's just a dev mistake.

      The devs just don't understand how Steam works.

      Both of these games used to be F2P and when they switched to a paid model they didn't disable the old F2P packages.

      Yes, just click install, and when the Steam install comes up, just cancel.

      It will be added to your library.

    It's worth noting that Mad Machines is an MMO, which I doubt many people would pay for anyway. Expect a dead server or possibly filled with new players from this freebie.

    Same goes for matchmaking in Booty Quest. At least that has a single payer mode.

    From what I understand, royal booty quest is a blatant copy of slay the spire. Not sure I'd support it.
