Anyone ordered and actually had their thongs shipped yet?
I placed my order over a week ago, and it's been sitting in a pending state since then.
Maybe I'm just impatient.

Just got an email response:
"Hi
Thanks for your email
I do apologise for the delay in the delivery of your thongs, a majority of
the stock has been sent out to customers. We are now just waiting for the
next shipment of thongs to arrive to fulfil the last batch of orders which
are remaining so everyone will have themYour order will be with you shortly
Kind regards …. "
I reordered the thongs as soon as I got the email, you would think I would have my order by now. Something fishy is going on.
Every email since this deal began has been "we are waiting on shipments"..
I got a response from Living Social after emailing them a complaint:
We can appreciate how patient everyone has been with this deal, and do apologise for the extended timeframe about getting your thongs to you. Orders have now been posted through Auspost.
Rest assured, your Havaianas are on their way.
We'll see…I ain't holding my breath!

I got another eMail from them earlier this week, saying I would receive them within 2 weeks.
Ha !
I hope they don't get too many paper cuts from all of that processing….
I'm over waiting. Can't believe I have even waited this long - I guess I thought I'd give Living Social the benefit of the doubt. Have lodged a visa transaction dispute with my financial institution.
This whole experience with LivingSocial and OzThongs has left me quite sceptical of these daily deals. When they work out it's great. When they don't it can be quite a horrible experience.
Living Social took weeks to respond to me when my redemption code didn't work, after 3 weeks of email to and fro, they told me the only way to fix this was to call their call centre. A guy told me that my order would need to be processed manually. 2 weeks later and no thongs. I called their call centre again, and they told me that there was no record of my order. By then the selection had dwindled down to about 3-4 choices in the sizes that I wanted. I finally asked for a refund and that came through quite promptly.
In the meantime, Ozthongs sent me an email advising that they were yet again having another 50% sale, thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and ended up buying around 10 pairs of thongs for family and friends. My shopping experience with Ozthongs has been without a doubt the worst internet shopping experience I've ever had. And I shop a lot online. Ozthongs don't respond to emails or voicemails (who knows if they are even a real company), even though they say they should take about 24 hours to respond. Order put through on the 20th of Jan. No sign of thongs yet. Got an email yesterday to say that thongs are on their way, 2 weeks after the order had been put in! Plus, there was an email which said, 3 of the thongs I had ordered were refunded. But my shipping confirmation said that those thongs were shipped. Only time will tell what will arrive. I would recommend that NO ONE buy from Ozthongs. Should have listened to LivingSocial when they said not to deal with them.
I am shocked that you would have ordered from them. Absolutely shocked. Hard to have sympathy really. 50% off isn't that great. You seem easily tempted.
My thongs have finally arrived! They look authentic, even if a little dirty. I.e. still has the manufacturing powder/residue on it. Otherwise, I'm happy I finally got something out of this ordeal!
I sent (yet another) email last week and was informed mine will be here within the next 2 weeks. Don't really need them now, it was 11oC on the way to work this morning :(
Hi Chubby Chicks - I got pulled into that Oz Thongs 50% off deal as well and regretting it already… Did you get your order delivered? I ordered 2 weeks ago and got the update today saying "Not shipped"… what sort of update is it?
I am hoping it will not get stuck with them for months as with living Social deal. BTW just asked for the refund on the Living Social voucher… Bought the voucher in August 11, reordered via Jumponit on 15th Dec, called them every second week for the update and have been told that the thongs are on their way ever since.. Last week they were apparently ready to be shipped to me, today they told me they were moved to the delay queue…?! Asked for the refund. At least no worries about that and I will be able to choose the thongs I want for $26 and get them straight away in a shop… UffffFinally got my thongs too. Interesting, as the online status says 'processing'. Not much use now as summer's pretty much over.
after over an hour on hold, I have discovered:
- the final quarter of thongs has arrived at Livingsocial, on last tuesday, and are currently being shipped out
- apparently all orders will be shipped (and likely received) within the next two weeks
- that they still haven't learned anything about how to communicate updates to customer, after 6 months.
- that I am not the only one still waiting
- that you can have a bathroom break in the time it takes them to lookup your order
- that telephone by Gaga actually sounds better over the telephoneWow - In January I was told that the final orders were being filled and it would be two weeks…and here is what I got

Got my thongs today. Missed summer altogether :(
On the phone today, told there are massive delays in the stock, with no set date. Told could be months, but decided to keep waiting. Boy, I hope they fit when they arrive. :)

It would be fabulous is they ended up being obvious knockoffs. Incorrect spelling. Backward logo, etc.
To be honest, I don't think they were worth the wait (or the money). The soles are 1.8cm thick at the heel and .9cm at the toe, I was expecting them to be more substantial. My son asked "are they genuine Havaianas" and isn't very impressed with his either. I got the silver and white and they are pretty kitsch :(
