Even now we're beyond the Christmas season, Xbox Game Pass continues to be the gift that keeps on giving, with Grand Theft Auto V being added to the console service today

Still one of the best games around. Never got around to finishing it though.

        The games are the core purpose of the game pass.

    GTAV was a deal when I got it on Amazon Black Friday 2018 for $25 delivered.

    It being added to a paid subscription/rental service, is not.

    A paid subscription service probably works out more expensive in the long term for a game like this. Not a deal to pretend its cheap being added to a sub service.

    Today is the day I graduate to an Ozbargain King. I really wanted to check this game out since it came out. I refused to pay for it being I was an Ozbargainer at heart knowing my brother's and sisters here would eventually tell me how I can get it for free.
    Here we are, my patience payed off. Ozbargainer forever!

          Further because of Ozbargain I got my Game Pass membership for next to nothing when a deal was on.
          So I don't see anything wrong with being happy and celebrating Ozbargain!

        Depends how you look at it. Anyone who already had game pass (likely 3 months gor $1) can check it out without costing them extra.

        Anyone without game pass can get 3 months for $1 and play this game for 33c a month. Its not free either way. But it's not enough money that even an ozbargainer would miss it.

        I dont consider this a deal though. This is more of a PSA. It should probably be on the forums, but I won't neg it because being here more people will notice it. The real shock to me is how many people didn't already own it.

                  Basically the voting system works like this:

                  Good deal + vote
                  The deal doesn't apply to you, don't like deal no vote (pretend there is a no vote button you can mash)
                  Issue with deal - vote

        I’ve rarely negged a deal and won’t neg this one because “not a deal/belongs in forums” should be reported not negged, according to the voting guidelines. Neg voting is for deals that can be found cheaper, defective products or dodgy sellers.

      Yes, you can convert up to 36 months worth of Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate (Game Pass + Live Gold + Game Pass for PC). It’s actually worth topping your Live Gold up to the 36 month mark before converting.

      Possibly the best deal ever.

        Off the top of my head.

        Deals should have an expiry.

        All these long-expiry deals belong either in the forums or the wiki.

        Another example is the bushfire "deals". They belong in the forums in a single thread where victims can actually see all the information instead of jumping from deal to deal.

        There are definite flaws with this logic, but this should be the way forward.

    this is an announcement for a subscription service. it isn't a deal because no saving is listed. you don't own the game outright, you are paying to rent it.
