JV, if you don't want free books, get Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens for $4.99. Fantastic book. I read it last week.

      • Is it available on Audible ?

    • +1

Still get them and stay true to ozbargain spirit.

    • Then Amazon cancel your Prime membership 😂

U2 will send you their latest album.

      I hope it doesn't arrive on Sunday… Bloody Sunday…

      • +27

It can't be delivered because the streets have no name.

        • +24

That would explain why I still haven't found what I'm looking for…

          • +11

@jv: These jokes are sooo lame. I'm leaving, with or without you!

            • +6

@scottb721: But theyre said in the name of love…

@aNoPHeLeS: I was having a beautiful day before reading these puns.

        • I have too much Pride to admit that I don't know the name of One single U2 song. In fact, I have no Desire to Stay so I'm just going to Walk On.

    • +1

Well isn't that just the sweetest thing ever

  • everything says currently not available

    • +1

Make sure your Country/Region is set to Australia.

    • You need to be a Prime member and logged on to purchase the two free eBooks.

      • I am set to australia and a prime member, but no go, I click and says not currently available. If I try usa then they are $1.99 as I have no prime for us.

        • I bought two free books and downloaded them with no problems. Log off and log on again.

        • +1

I'm concerned it says it's delivering it to my iPad that died 2 years ago.

    • damn it! did anyone else fall for this and not untick it?

E-mail me about new Amazon First Reads picks every month.

  • +9

Since no one has asked the real question yet. Does anyone recommend two books here that they've read?

    • +1

I'm sure jv will have an opinion…

    • They’re all pre-release, so no one has read them.

      • +9

Nobody said jv would have had to read them to have an opinion.

        • Same like buying first then do research later….

  • My kindle is registered in the US and they seem to cost me approx $4.50 there

    • Set up an AU a/c.

  • There are hundreds, probably thousands of free books on Kindle for anyone desperate. No need for Prime. You can find plenty of classics worth reading and a whole lot of, let's say, "interesting experiences" (I'd say rubbish but it takes a lot of effort and some skill to write any book - even poor ones which leave you wondering 'what was the point?'). Just search for free Kindle books.

    • +1

These are future classics* and I’m not sure I can wait for their copyright to expire.

      *probably not

      • I read Wignall's To Die in Vienna - $1.99 at the time. Decent read.

      • I’m honestly pretty curious what Bird Hugs is about. No interest in the rest of them.

Edit. Damn. Just as they pull me in, they knock me back down

  • +1

Is this a ongoing monthly deal or just for January?

    • There's been 1 book free per month for quite a while. This month there's 2 instead of 1.

  • Is there any reason to keep my account as US not AU? It used to make a difference to freebies but not sure I've seen a difference for years now

    • Shared family libraries

  • I dont get it, I have a .com.au prime account but my kindle was always set to the US store. I changed my region and said to shop content from .com.au. Is .com.au these days generally as good as the US store for free kindle books etc?
