I am feeling pretty depressed about a couple of scoopons I purchased in feb this year (valid til feb 2012). They are for 3 hour treatments including a mani/pedi, facial and massage.
I just tried to book an appointment at both locations and they are both 'full' and have no available appointments. Ever. Now I didn't expect a weekday appointment or even one in the next few months. Or even to be able to redeem them at he same time as originally planned. But I didn't expect none at all. Not with almost 6 months to go.
I asked why they sold more scoopons than could be redeemed and they said that scoopon sold 1000 more vouchers than they authorized. I asked what I'm supposed to do and they said they can put me on the cancellation list. However I expect that will only give me a couple of days notice.
I just don't get it. When you redeem a scoopon you are expected to give 2 weeks notice or so. So how come I have to accept that less than a couple of days notice is reasonable? Why doesn't it work both ways?
So if I can't get a day off work or have an overseas trip planned, or a wedding then I have to forfeit my scoopon as the terms and conditions of scoopon are that they are 'subject to availability' and that 'you may not be able to get an appointment at your desired time'? I really don't understand why the terms and conditions don't protect the customer!
I haven't contacted scoopon yet but I was wondering if anyone else was having this same issue as I.
I bought and used two of those vouchers. They did a great job. I suggest you try again. Maybe you will get someone else to answer the phone.
