'Genuine' on eBay listings doesn't necessarily mean it's an official branded product. It is commonly used to mislead and mean 'genuine cable' on these OEM products.

    • Genuine could be the brand name too…
I'm disappointed. Thought this was type c to c, not c to A.

You know it's legit when the seller writes part of the description in comic sans MS..

I would read some of the feedback. One didn't work, another didn't fit properly, seller didn't include correct postage and people had to cough up $2.50 at the Post Office to get it.

    • Some LPOs won't allow items to be posted as letters if they are not actually letters inside. Even if it is a coin battery, it won't be allowed. For sellers doing things in bulk, they probably would print labels using eBay's system and put stamps on the envelopes. A recent change in eBay adds an unique eBay ID to the label. The problem is that ID gives those LPOs a very easy way to detect eBay items.

Large sellers are less likely to be affected by this because they don't have time to manually put stamps on, so they have deals with AusPost so each envelope will have a Postage Paid sticker on it (the LPOs won't have the time and effort to manually check exactly how much was paid), as much they cannot intercept these and demand insufficient postage to be paid.

If your LPO is known not to allow items to be posted as letters, then you probably shouldn't gamble on getting these.

      • Take your LPO to town on that. Last I checked, letter merely meant a maximum thickness requirement. If they don't follow official auspost practice, give them hell

        • Easy for you to say. Anyway, they all offer the option of return to sender. I normally take the return to sender option.

          • @netsurfer: I've argued with them before. They hate it. Unfortunately for them, it's all written in black and white on the website.

What they like less than being wrong is being reported to head office for incorrect practice.

Thankfully, most of the post staff are well informed and there's only a few rubbish ones I've met.

  • Anyone got a link for good quality A to C cables?

AmazonBasics are great. Just wait for a sale.

      • AmazonBasics cables are overrated. I've had issues with some of their USB-C cables (mainly not able to establish fast charge at times).

  • I've ordered these couple of months ago and they are working fine

  • Since when do samsung make usb cables

I bought these. Can confirm these are not genuine cables. Didn't expect them to be from the price though. No additional postage on my end.

Edit - comparing between these and my month old Galaxy

  • Has anyone received these yet? Bought some and they are nearly a week overdue….

  • I received mine but I chose colour white I've been sent black and seller didn't use correct postage so I'm left to stump up an extra couple of bucks to AusPost.

  • I ordered these (3 pack)to have a few spares around the house. Postage was not paid and i was told that if have to pay 8.95 extra to get the parcel. Would not deal with this lot at all. Waiting on a response before I file a dispute with PayPal and a complaint to eBay.
