7/11 staff get told about these deals a few weeks before the promotion(s) start.
Asked my friend who works at 7/11 and he said that he will get told about the Feb stuff at the end of Jan.
Odd that they specify the flavour. It means stock will be more limited.
Id assume its just because its a newly released, 7 eleven exclusive. Sucks though that it is limited.

Every time I get a coffee from 7/11, heaps of people puts load of sugar in theirs and put coffee all over the "tap" while stirring it. Sigh.

heaps at both stores i went to. they're sometimes on display right as you walk in the entrance so saves you having to walk to the drinks fridges.
it's an interesting flavour combo….can definitely taste the strawberry with the sourness of the lemon. maybe because of that, it doesn't taste as sweet as most sports drinks.
Don't bother for any of these at the Commercial Rd and St Kilda Rd intersection. They never have any stock by the time I walk past at 8am. One on Fitzroy St usually has the items in stock though.

King Street store probably thought that the barcode was for all the varieties, so they hid all flavours! Lol.. :-/
Apparently most of the stores know now and will hide the stock when there's free item. Perhaps can make a complaint directly to the HQ and they will investigate. The HQ might 'reimburse' us. 2 months ago I had a bad experience in one of the stores and I made a complaint and I was given a gift card.

I've made a complaint and here is the reply:
Thank you for contacting 7-Eleven Customer Service.
Please be advised the daily free app offers are limited stock only, as logistically and feasibility wise only 15 units are allowed to be allocated per store maximum, excluding CBD stores and Non Fuel stores such as the Church street store which may received less or none. The offers are claimed by whoever comes in first gets served first.There are no restrictions as to who is allowed to claim the offer, such as regular customers, local customers, and any customers who uses the Fuel App. Please also be advised the promo starts at midnight thus CBD and Non Fuel stores would generally have the items claimed by their regular customers during the early hours.
We appreciate the feedback though, as we have forwarded your concerns onto the retail business manager who oversees the operations of the store. However there will be neither any changes to the fuel app's terms and conditions, nor any increase in stock allocations for the free offers.

7-Eleven Stores Pty LtdBS, my store had way more than 15 units on shelves when I picked up mine at 8.40am this morning.

They're forgetting the ones who are claiming 99% of them: 7-11 staff.

Like any freebie you need to be quick! This particular flavour I can't see stores stocking too much of at any given time. I think it's simply there's probably less than 10 in the fridge at any given time and they just refuse to give out more. To purposely hide 10 away just seems like a bit of effort but I wouldn't rule it out.
People do work night shifts. Like myself from time to time and I wouldn't hesitate to go into a 7-eleven to pick up a freebie after midnight to beat the crowds on the way home with some bread and milk…
I did manage to snatch one of these, kind of reminds me of a lemon blast flavour anyway. Honestly just grab a $1 large slurpee you probably get more sugar hit if that's your thing and they even have the electrolyte flavour now too at some stores.
And the Strawberry Lemon Powerade magically reappears today.
2 newcastle servos have already hidden the stock. It was full earlier. So annoyed
