Great price on the ZMI Powerbank. Picked up another one (first one was ~$50).

I have been contemplating on whether I should buy the ZMI when it was on special recently. I told myself I didn't need it but this time it's too good to pass. Thanks OP.

    • +2

I understand. I actually bought 2 at this price :D
One for a friend and one for me even if I already have one but I can charge my switch faster and my Dell XPS 13 with this one :D.

      • Haha,…no need to talk yourself into it.

If I saw it when deal was on I would have just clicked on buy now, and thought of all the intended purposes later ( there are plenty lol ).

Looks like the ZMI out of stock already. Damn :(

ZMI is out of stock. I had it in the cart and then it was gone. Great deal though.

    • Ah just missed it

  • Is the ZMI better than 3 Pro

    • +2

Zmi slimmer has similar ports and can function as a USB hub

3 pro is thicc but can do a slightly larger voltage for laptop but can't remember the voltage

      15k
      Vs

      20k

      • +3

Just to add, ZMI has an Aluminium body whereas the 3 Pro has a Plastic Body.

Here's a table comparison of both power banks - Credits to MM

      • The QB 15k looks as thick as the 20k? Am I wrong?

        • Sorry to say,….but yes ( this time, your usually pretty spot on with your specs normally, so you might just be testing us out here for a laugh, maybe ).

          • @ozhunter68: is it thicker than a Xiaomi 10k? 50% thicker?

Can any mods please add a filter anything eBay plus needs to have a tag.

People like me who got scammed by eBay plus $1 promotion don't want to see these deals

    • +1

What do you mean by scammed?

      • +1

EBay offered $1 plus subscription many of us got charged full amount. Customer service unwilling to help. PayPal dispute is the only option.

        Refer the thread

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/506480

Banners and everything including checkout page clearly shown $1 but still fully charged.

This should have been on A current affair or ACCC case

    • Use the new front page, add [eBay Plus] to the title tag field then drag the slider to 'less'. That doesn't apply to this deal, as eBay Plus isn't a requirement (it only gives free shipping), but it would hide deals like these. Otherwise you can just hide the whole eBay store if you have an issue with the store itself. Click 'hide' under the deal description, or if you are using the new front page add ebay.com.au into the store field and drag the slider to less.

  • Zmi or xiaomi 2s/2c/2i for smaller capacity like 10k?

    • +3

Depends on needs and which ZMI you're comparing with.

This ZMI has 45W USB-C PD, which is useful for charging laptop, Nintendo Switch, etc.

If you just need a basic power bank, then the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2/i/s is sufficient.

      • Where can I buy genuine xiaomi powerbank btw? U heard lots of fake ones.

Are there a list of trusted sellers?
How about chinese shopping platforms like Aliexpress, banggood etc? Do they sell genuine ones?

        • +1

Just look out for deal post on OzBargain for the Xiaomi Power Bank.

As for overseas resellers, most of them don't ship to Australia due to custom/delivery restriction.

Glad the QB815 sold out. Would have been tempted to buy yet another PB.

    • +3

      Lol, +1! :)

(Ok, to be completely honest, I actually skipped it, but then came back 5min later to buy one, but it was sold out!) :P

      • Haha, funny. I don't feel so bad about missing it now, I also really did not need this lol.

  • What,….I missed it! Love this power bank and at this price would have grabbed another in a heartbeat.

Yes,…i have a problem buying too many power banks lol.

    • +1

      too many power banks

      Blasphemy!

Not up to date with powerbanks but zmi vs pro 3 - do both do PD for charging say a hp spectre x360?

My old original xiaomis were nice and compact for tucking away in a backpack so tempted to get these if still quite compact as some of the PD packa are huge.

    • If you want powerful and compact, go for the QB815, best of both worlds.

      • ok thanks! my AC adaptor is a 65watt charger, does that mean the 45w PD on this won't charge my HP Spectre x360? (it's a 13" ae-010tu model, so not extremely large, reasonably compact).

        • As long as this zmi815 puts out the voltage that is what your laptop uses/accepts, then it will charge fine, just not at Max speed whilst laptop turned on with Max power and Max brightness etc.
Look into the voltage your laptop charges via USB c of first.
There is a new model more powerful zmi model out the qb823 I think, 65w out but should be bit thicker and heavier and more $ too.

  • Has anyone's order shipped yet?

    • +1

      No. Not yet…

  • About to buy a QB815 (not for this cheap unfortunately), can someone who has already received tell me if they come with a USB C to USB C cable?

    • +1

Comes with a short USB C to USB C cable, as well as a USB A to Micro-USB/USB-C cable (the ones with a little USB-C adapter attached to a Micro-USB end).
