I would assume so, since it close to expiration.
This available in any other store?
i doubt, this was in coles neutral bay as they are close to expiry. But for 6.5$ a kilo thats a hec of a price
Normally $13
yup saving 10$ :)
Nice that those poor battlers in Neutral Bay get a bargain.
Good deal as salmon is fresh and good for freezing. I'd have bought their whole stock.
I bought the remaining stock - 10 packets. We North Shore battlers need a bargain to survive. How do you think we afford our mortgages?
Someone has negged your comments.
I understand the jealousy, that's fair, but at least he has informed everyone so we don't waste our time. That's worth an upvote from me.
Can you use that for sashimi?
we are planning to tonight, wife will salt the second one we bought and make sushi out of it tomorrow :)
Good idea for New Years Eve :P
It's not sashimi grade though, so wouldn't that be a bit dicey/risky?
Give us an update tomorrow or the day after! Haha
What is sashimi grade?
Live a Little haha, I will be certain to update tomorrow after eating some nice homemade sushi ;p
I wouldn't risk it personally, it's not sashimi grade and close to expiry…
Where’s your sense of adventure.
Not stuck in a bathroom ;)
@John Kimble: jeez bathrooms can be wild
@petry: Could be for the OP! 🤮 and/or 💩
What makes something samshimi grade?
No idea…4 times the price?!
I'm sure it's Google-able

My understanding is that if used as is, there is a small risk.
But since bacterial growth is superficial, all you need is to cut off a surface margin. For the inlaws you can :D
Thanks for the response, guys, I probably better off go to an Asian shop/Seafood shop to buy a higher quality cut. Would be nice to see if Coles sell sashimi in the future.
All finished now
Alot left.
Going to lots of random stuff like this, just scored 7.5kg of mixed Beachwood smoked/dry cured boneless Coles ham portions (vac sealed) avg $4/kg smoked wa $2.45 a portion (800g) and the dry cured $4.5 /kg
Where at?
Coles Mackay Parkside.
(Benefits of travelling with a fridge in the Ute :))
Coles Sydney markets Mackay had none but had fruit mince pies 5c (not a fan tho lol)
Yep, yesterday we picked up kids tshirts for 50 cents each, Christmas themed fruit minced pies and chocolates for under $1, toys like small Lego packs, hot wheels, barbies for a few dollars each also.
