Having owned this monitor for about a year I've got to say it's great bang for you buck at this price, not the best quality image but it does the job, straight forward to setup and has most the handy features of the premium units such as temperature display. Only complaint would be the battery does go flat pretty quick and when it gives you the low battery alarm it goes flat in about 10 seconds afterwards. However in saying that if I could have my time again I would purchase the tilt and zoom camera as our young one seems to always be able to get into the blind spot of our fixed camera without the pan option.

There is also the tilt and zoom option for $96

Or cameras for each model for if you require extras
$36 HB32
$43 HB65

  • How long does the batter last?

    • +5

3 days in the fridge, 2 months in the freezer.

    • Depends on the number of teeth the baby has and their chew rate

Jk sorry I have no idea but couldn’t resist…

Think we get between 4 & 6 hours but we don’t use the VOX feature

    • Battery is decent at first but will degrade overtime, probably get 3 hours out of it now.

You can keep the receiver plugged in though.

  • In the market for an affordable and good quality baby monitor but im still leaning towards another xiaomi 360 unit.

  • Have the pan tilt zoom model and the battery is absolutely garbage

No two factor authentication is a bit scary as a parent (considering I've had idiots Bluetooth into my receiver and start playing audio from porn, I don't want idiots talking to my kids through a camera)

    Range is meh

It's fine. Just. Honestly should be $50 though, stupid baby tax.

A possible alternative is an Echo Show device + Alexa App on smartphone (can view baby at home when you're out), or two Echo Show devices. The 2-way audio and video streams should be secure as long as you don't start giving out your Amazon login credential.

    • I’ve been considering it too. Is it possible to make it voice activated?

      • +1

"Alexa, drop in on Echo Show" (or whatever name you call the device). The other end does not need to say "Alexa, answer", if you had given prior permission. You can also have a silent incoming ring tone so the baby won't be disturbed.

  • As a first time parent I invested in one for $99. Haven’t looked back.

  • We have this unit too, it's great and does the job.
