Stand mixer classic, was in DJ’s and almost purchased on sale for $420. Quick search revealed this and DJ’s price matched (reluctantly).

i don't understand why these are so expensive…
Because they're not disposable unlike almost every other kitchen appliance made today.
They're designed to be repaired cheaply and easily, that's why they basically lose no value when you go to resell them.
Have a look on Gumtree for the second hand prices.Honestly I wish everything was made like this. As far as BIFL products go this is one of the cheapest.
If you think this is expensive a Vitamix will really have you clutching your pearls.
You better off buying this $243 after Shopback.
Why’d you get downvote?
I don't know either. The one on Amazon also has a bigger bowl
its not kitchenaid
@prizefightinyeti: The motor on the Kenwood is only just over 4 times as powerful as well…
@terrys: Yep, logic is sound. Think I’ll buy a Jeep https://amp.news.com.au/finance/business/manufacturing/stay-…
@qldisforme: If you need to take heavy loads over rought country regularly, do so. If you want to do it once every three months, buy a Suzuki and hope for the best.
The analogy is apt.
@prizefightinyeti: And there is the answer! If you want to show off to your neighbors and just have it sit there to look good, buy this! If you actually want to bake, buy the Kenwood (or cough up the big $ on a real KitchenAid)
They didn't provide a reason for what they said. Why is it better?
It was $239.20 on ebay just few weeks ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/506039
