Anyone else collecting these but know they'll never play them?

    • +2

Kingdom Come is rumoured to be given away. If it does happen, I highly urge you to play it. It's an amazing game now.

      • i believe it when i see it

      • +2

I literally just gave up on Kingdom Come yesterday. I did actually like it, but it just has no respect for your time at all. Too much time and effort for too little progress, I eventually decided that time would be better spent on other games.

        • You've gotta come back to it and finish it though. My favourite game for sure!!

Talos Principle is an amazing game, give it a try

I've been collecting them and know I'll eventually play some. In fact it's almost time to install the launcher so I can check out Into the Breach. Getting to the point where I've got a better selection on the epic store than on Steam (also never bought any Steam games :)

    • +3

I paid for this on steam and I know I will never play it.

That's such an awesome giveaway, Epic is killing it.

I was about to buy The Talos Principle. Now I know if I wait I'll get it free!

Maybe think about your comment and maybe see the light.
It doesn't warrant any further attention.

Thank you orion au for pointing out the obvious.

    • Thank you very much, always saves me a few clicks by checking the comments to see if someone posted the previous freebie if I missed it the day before.

      Thumbs up ;)

This game is great. Highly recommended. Don't get to finish a lot of games with kids around but made the time for this one.

Just a warning folks, this one has been heavily reported to induce motion sickness. Devs even included an option to reduce motion sway / head bob but it didn't help me.

Pity as it's a good game, but it gave me terrible headaches afterwards and thus never finished it.

    • I get nauseous even playing subnautica at 80 fov, so looks like this one will be a no for me then.

      • 80 seems rather low, I'm always on 90 or higher. Have you tried increasing it?

  • +1

    Nice!

This was previously on my Steam wishlist so I have some interest in it. Hopefully the last game won't be a repeat. Would love it to be a double pack so that my games library in grid mode won't have an empty spot at the end. Something like Journey and Flower would be great.

I do find it funny that Steam has got all the Unreal games but the Epic Games Store doesn't.

Talos is my favourite game of all time. It's great that more people will have the opportunity to play it. If it doesn't come with the DLC and you enjoy the game I highly recommend you pick it up. It's often very cheap on Steam and the puzzles are a joy to solve, but the difficulty is kicked up a notch. I wonder if the quality of free games we're seeing from Epic will start to deteriorate since the Fortnite fad is in heavy decline?

The free games from Epic is meant to finish up at the end of the year so we basically have The Talos Principle and one more release assuming the article below still holds true.

      https://www.pcgamer.com/au/epic-games-store-extends-weekly-g…

I haven't seen anything saying it's been extended. Lysander may have more recent news.

      • So far there has not been any official announcement.
I have heard that Epic might be considering doing giveaways of games previously given away for those people who missed out previously but this is unconfirmed and a mere rumour.

  • This has been on my waitlist since the early reviews of the game.

Lowest price according to ITAD was AUD $8.35.

  • Talos Principle is great. Highly recommended, especially for $0.

This game is significantly harder than Portal, so keep that in mind. It starts of pretty easy but once it introduces a certain mechanic it increases the difficulty tenfold. Great game but.

A game so good I sometimes forget to put underwear on before I play it.

For those appreciating all the freebies, but wishing for VR versions, there is an -85% sale on the Steam version right now. $8.54 for the VR version is still a bargain and the best way to play this one!

  • I want The Witness for free. Let's hope that'll be one of the games.

    • +1

That was a freebie at the beginning. I doubt that Epic is going to finish with a repeat I am afraid.

      • That was the time I missed it! Damn it!
