As an early adopter of isofix in Australia, if I had my time again I wouldn't have bothered.
The Australian implementation is woeful compared to the European version. The Australian version comes with loose isofix straps which are fiddly to tension right and, depending on how curvy your car seats are, can be almost impossible to tension according to the indicators.
The Australian standard also only allows isofix up to four years of age for some unknown reason. In hindsight I'd get over of the 0-8yrs sash type convertible seat and save the need to buy another seat at four years.
The 0-4 age is a bit of headache, as we have to get another seat in a few years time.
I personally haven't had problems with getting the right tension (across 4 different cars).
ISO-fix is easy to move between cars, but if you can't be bothered, get another car seat and leave them in.
