  • Different product. The one in your link does not have the built in battery.

    • Thanks

But the product photo looks the same.

      • Yep, visually I believe they are identical

The funny thing is Kogan bought Dick Smith a few years ago

  • +2

This isn't the 2, but I have owned the smart fan 2 for a week now. I wasn't to confident when I ordered it due to the 150 dollar price tag. But it's really a good fan and the battery makes a huge difference which I didn't originally think it would.

You are taking about the 2s, 2s comes with battery not the 2

      • +1

Yep your right, but I would still say that the additional battery is well worth it especially compared with this deal it only cost an additional $19 from Banggood. If that deal is still running I'm unsure. During the heatwave on Friday it was a lifesaver to be able to put outside despite no plugs or extension cords.

  • For cooling would this or the 2S be as good as a Vornado fan?

    • +1

I have the the 2 and the vornado 600

the vornado is very loud and the 2 is very quiet, the vornado pushes alot more air. i use it for my bedroom and it is fantastic very quiet and pushes alot of air for its size

      hope this helps

  • Really this much for a fan?
Why not just get a cheap fan and a smart plug for a third the price and miss out on a little functionality

    • +1

Lol okay, enjoy your cheap nasty $20 Kmart fan 😂

    • for most people it would be ok

but this is useful who have disability where using their voice is the only way control technology

    • +2

These are much much quieter, which matters to some.

Personally, I'm looking to pick one up for my home office. I work from home and am one at least one or two video calls everyday. My current fan is too noisy though, and I have to turn it off when I jump on a call.

      • Just wondering about the cooling are they better?

        • +1

when temperature hits 35 and above any fan becomes useless

      • +1

Yep cheap modern fans can't run at a low speed like the oldies, that's why these are nice.

  • How would this compare to Kogan DC fan? It's the same price and the Kogan fan is adjustable.

    • Kogan have recently changed the model of DC fan they sell, but sneakily kept the same page with its many five star reviews.
I recall reading a recent thread where many OzBers were saying this new one is nowhere near as good.
