At least it comes with brakes. Nothing irritates me more than a fool on a fixie with no brakes, riding near people/cars.

Ok, went with size 56 as it seems to be more an 'every man' size. The bike actually comes to $294 after the discount because the tax works out differently.

From a bike noob, what is the benefit of a Fixie..? Why wouldn't you want gears..?
Lighter, lower and easier maintenance, less complicated. If you don't live in a hilly area, a fixie is fine.

I still don't actually get the point of a fixie, especially in hilly Sydney
So buy a mountain bike?
