  I bloody love the Yakuza games. Just wish they weren't so damn long - I've still got Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 6 and Judgement sitting in my pile of shame unstarted, and I think Yakuza 7 is out sometime in 2020.

  I have too many video games, and not enough time to play them all. I may have reached peak first world problem.

    You don't have to do all the side stuff, they're purely optional. I'd say if you focused on kicking ass, you could beat the main story in around ~10 hours.

      Yeah but if you don't do a fair bit of the side stuff then you're missing out on what makes Yakuza so great. The main story is OK, but it's all the bizarre sh*t that goes on in the side stories that make the games worth playing.

      Just started Kiwami 2 yesterday :)

        Yeah of course but it's better if someone experiences 50% of a game than 0% since they might stop playing if they feel overwhelmed.

        I didn't like the combat in kiwami 2 as much since they moved to the dragon engine. Maybe you'll feel differently.
