Best Protein that money can buy.

I have been using it for years mate

          • +8

@drazenm: Is this one of those dumb internet copy pastas?

          • +1

@drazenm: Can you refer us to any studies done on all of this you have just said ??

            • +2

@Sam Sharik: While @drazenm is probably being a bit too intense about all of this - some points are valid. ON gold standard is not the best protein available.

              https://labdoor.com/review/optimum-gold-standard-whey

              • @[Deactivated]: There's nothing intense about protecting your health and existence. Palm oil for example is known to cause cancer and Nutella, one of most consumed products, especially by children is loaded with it and sugar. But hey, tastes great, there are fruits next to it on the label, it must be healthy as a fruit, wouldn't be put next to it otherwise lol.

                • +1

@drazenm: And yet the average life expectancy continues to increase despite all the unhealthy things that are available. There are nicer ways to make a point, that's all.

            • +2

@Sam Sharik: Mate, we're living in a time that's more deceptive then ever, ever! You'll hear in few years how something is deadly dangerous and previously we've been told how it's one of most healthiest things to consume etc. New info on things that have been approved and then debunked are popping up on daily basis, each to their own, you believe everything you've been told by politicians, pharmaco Mafia, corporations etc.

          • @drazenm: Amen brother. This stuff is junk.

          • @drazenm: Keep spouting your beta male rubbish. I'd outlift and outlive you.

Why is it the best? Bulk Nutrients, VPA etc have higher protein yield in their WPC alone, cheaper, variety of flavours (as opposed to buying a bulk 4.5kg lot of one flavour) and are subject to stricter supplement and dietary guidelines due to being Australian companies. Have also heard good things about Myprotein, but at the end of the day they are supplements which should only make up a small part of anyones diet. The more protein and macronutrients in general you can get from whole food sources, the better.

      • This protein has one of the highest yield ratio on the market currently at 78.9% (used to be 80%+). If it isn't working for you, then you aren't eating/training right. These proteins are "supplements". Meaning it is supposed to add to your current diet and help you gain the macros/micros you don't get within your diet. Just like all supplements, taking this won't just magically make you gain muscle. You still have to eat/train correctly.

        • 78% is poor, aim for 90% + and less other added stuff
          something like this
          https://machinesupps.com.au/nz-whey-protein-isolate/

          • @botchie: For a blend it's not great, as Bulk Nutrients, VPA etc have higher on just their WPC. That being said, the vast majority of people don't need to be buying WPI as it really is only a minute difference.

    • Whey better than the previous deal.

  • Has anyone tried Banana cream flavour ?

      "anyone tried Banana cream flavour"

is that code for something else 😏

haha - i was thinking the same while i was typing the question :P

you can take my help pal ;)

        • +8

ok thanks, it will be my first time with a man but i'm ok with that.

      • Enough protein?

    • +1

The banana cream flavour contains the food colouring FD&C yellow number 5. You might want to do some research on that before you consider putting that crap into your body. ON gold is one of the worst protein powders you can buy. It also contains the artificial sweeteners Sucralose and Acesulfame-K as well as GMO soy.

      • -2

Oh gawd here comes the tin foil hat

      • Then what protein powder do you suggest?

        • +2

Honestly, anything is better than ON Gold. But, if you're after a high quality, clean, affordable protein you can't go past Professional Whey:
          https://www.professionalwhey.com.au/aus-whey-protein-concent…
Their natural (unflavoured) contains no artificial sweeteners and no soy lecithin. And their flavoured products contain natural sweeteners and non GMO sunflower lecithin.

          • +1

@aldroid: Thanks! They're decently priced too!

    • I have. My thoughts are that it is horrible with water but great with milk. It taste nothing like real bananas but artificial like the banana candy. So if that's the flavour you want, I'd recommend it.

  • +6

Is that the cheapest price EVER?

Unfortunately not. Endlessly waiting for this golden deal to return for $79.99.

    • Same here. The last time I bought it under this deal is going to finish soon. I doubt it will be back, most likely was a pricing error.

      • They've done it at least a couple times so I don't think it was a price error personally.

        • Hope you have a camelcamelcamel alert setup.

  • Not a bad deal but MyProtein often has comparable prices and higher rated protein as per labdoor.

    • -1

I don't think you should be feeding this to your labrador…

  • +2

not a bad price, but how do i sign out of this company's annoying spam email, doesn't work to unsuscribe

    • Issue resolved after pm sent to op

  • Are you sure this isn't targeted? There isn't any acknowledgement of the $15 store credit in the cart when about to purchase. There is though if I use another discount code that they emailed me

    • I asked them via chat and was told it would apply even though I didn't get the email.

      • Seems to be showing the wording now so should be all good

    • Hi Zinga,

      Thanks for your query.

The $15 store credit will be reflected in your account within 3 days after your order is shipped.

      Happy Holidays!

I don't know about Amino-Z. Could just be me but I bought 2 containers of Casein from them on Black Friday with an Amino-Z membership… I still haven't received the products yet… It's nearly been a month. They haven't apologised or done anything to better the situation and have just blamed the postal service. Funnily enough, I had 9 other deliveries from purchases I made on that same day… They all reached me fine.

Edit*** Jay from Amino-Z has kindly reached out and actioned solutions, which is very much appreciated. I'll go ahead and purchase this deal as well in good faith.

    • What's the explanation?

      • +1

Nothing great but they've rectified the situation for the time being. They are sending my order again, this time with AusPost instead of the one that was apparently sent with FastTrack.

        • +3

Just when you think you can't do any worse than auspost lol.

    • They ought to use a courier like anyone else, I think even Sendle is even faster than oz post parcel service. When I sell on eBay the parcel service always takes a week interstate. I know because I always get messages from angry customers who were kinda expecting a fast track delivery when they chose parcel service.

  • Great deal. Here is was thinking their upcoming Boxing Day deal was decent.

25% off store-wide off standard prices
15% back in Z Points (Club Z) or 12% back in Z Points (Non Club Z)

Thanks OP, good price! even though I bought one of these 4months ago and haven't touched it yet…keen to go back to the gym and smash 9kilos of protein powder #nyresolution2020

    • Thanks for your feedback, Machaonc. I am happy you find our price okay.

I think it's a good idea to go back to the gym with all the holiday goodies that we can't help enjoying!

      Happy Holidays!

  • If you suffer to headaches from sweetners in certain proteins, maybe try a sample before buying this in bulk. For me the headaches were crippling.
Just a heads up if you will pardon the pun.

    • I had racing heart beats at night and increased hair loss due to acek and sacralose. Being a vegetarian I was taking 2 to 3 scoops a day. A simple google search for side effects don’t show these but when searched with sacralose and racing heartbeats etc, then they show up. Artificial sweetener have been over hyped. Sucralose is a chlorocarbon rather than a hydrocarbon. They do a small test on mice and tell they won’t cause anything. FDA is definitely corrupted. Switched to unflavoured protein. I now add milk and bananas or strawberries etc to create my own flavour. Definitely doesn’t taste artificial anymore.

  • I have started using Myprotein unflavoured WPI after using ON for around 2 years. I switched to WPI and unflavoured mainly because of bloating issues. So far so good with MyProtien. In terms of the cost, it turns out to be cheaper for WPI vs ON's WPC/WPI. Myprotein costs me about $120 per 5 KG as they always have about 40% off codes floating around.

    • Same here switched from ON to Davisco unflavoured to MP unflavoured. Can’t get a better deal. I felt MP is definitely better than bulk nutrition.

    • how do you make the unflavoured taste a bit more better?

      • Unflavoured has no test. Neither good nor bad. So I just add with water and I am fine. I am currently adding dark chocolate powder when I mix with oats in the morning as oats without flavour and test with unflavoured protein- I need some help.

  • Stopped using ON a long time ago. A little overhyped. Switched to myprotein wpi and wpc.
ON tastes better though and 99$ is a great price.

  • If you don’t tolerate whey digestively, you can mix pea and rice protein for a complete protein too. Sugar free chocolate granules you buy off the shelf yourself next to the nesquik covers the earthy taste nicely.

    • where do you go for the pea and rice mix? MyProtein? Im assuming 60 / 40 ratio too?

      • Bulk nutrients, and yeah 60/40.

        • how is the taste without the granules ?

          • @zxblood: Tastes slightly oaty. A bit like cannabis.

            • @AustriaBargain: is it as bad as people claim? like "god awful taste" etc

              • @zxblood: No, I quite liked it with almond milk, frozen banana, berries, raw tofu, and ice in a blender. And sugar free chocolate powder to improve the flavour.

                • @AustriaBargain: hhmm, by itself, you reckon you could still stomach it? or is it like torturous as ass as people claim it to be?

                  • @zxblood: It tastes fine, slightly like rice flour maybe. Same with the pea protein. They sell flavored versions too which I guess just has its own sugar free sweetener and flavored added.

  • When is this deal valid till?

    • +1

      Tuesday

  • If anyone is looking for an incredibly high quality protein, I can't recommend Swift High Performance enough. I've tried so many brands over the years including ON and MyProtein and most gave me some kind of upset stomach or gas after use. Swift 'feels' way cleaner and has 34g protein/40g serve compared to about 23g in brands like Myprotein. Swift is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and I'm definitely going to continue to buy this brand

    • +1

Wow, that's crazy expensive. $85.50 for 900g. Tell them their dreaming. Their flavoured stuff still contains Sucralose (sweetener 955) and they use soy lecithin (most likely GMO) as an emulsifier so it may not be as "clean" as you think. You won't find anything cleaner than Professional Whey AUS WPC at $26/kg.
