It is handy for a lounge-room TV box where you mostly use a simple remote, but occasionally want keyboard entry.
I hate typing is passwords with just up/down/left/right.
Some apps like browser require a keyboard. I have a mini bluetooth keyboard (same Izzaport brand) connected to my Xaiomi Mi Box 3. It works great. You simply can't use Chrome without a keyboard
As manic said it is handy for typing in passwords etc. some people may prefer to use a keyboard than a controller or remote for example.
Not saying it isn't useful, but not worth any more than the price with the code, could probably find it cheaper elsewhere without a code tbh

You won't find them cheaper than this. Also, this is an iPazzPort brand, which is a quality brand.
I have one myself. It does not feel cheap, like a lot of cheap remotes do and I get very good battery life from the rechargeable battery.
