Screw Harvey. Buy from Amazon as a matter of principal.

    • can't disagree with you, sometimes as consumer what matters most is what's the bottom line, with additional 5% gift cards for Harvey it might make more sense for someone

Principal? Jeff Bezos owns Amazon, is a multi-billionaire and treats his employees like shit.

I hate Gerry with a passion, but advocating one scumbag over another doesn't really achieve anything.

        At least he is ours.

Doesn't mean I like Jeff. I just like Gerry less due to his GST lobbying, which brought in a nationwide change, when the core issue is Gerry was too useless or greedy to be competitive.

      • Yep. I made a decision to start buying less from Amazon this morning, with the goal of getting to zero. Pretty much eliminated Google from my life, now working on Amazon.

    • i agree

  • Can we price match at ow?

  • Don't forget to use 5% off giftcard for Hardly normal from macquire market place or 3% off giftcard for amazon from suncorp.

  • i don't need a drone, but this one seems good price.

Be worth asking if Bunnings still stock these to price beat. Their price is likely $1999. They special ordered a Mavic 2 Pro for me and their system listed price was $2499, were willing to price beat Amazon's $1999 price despite it not being on the Bunnings website.

    • Did they price beat Amazon? Further 10%?

      • Yep

        • Which Bunnings?
I tried to price beat a special order at chatswood but they weren't willing to

@raphael2012: Kent Town, SA. Fella had no issue price matching, would be worth hunting down someone happy to do it.

In case anyone's tossing up whether to get one for fun, my experience has been that it's more hassle than its worth… I've owned the OG phantom, and Mavic Pro. There's just so many restrictions globally in flying these… I've taken the drones to more countries than times I've actually flown them. Usually illegal to fly in areas where you'd get awesome footage e.g. Hawaii national parks, Serengeti in Tanzania, great wall, to name a few of my failures

I cant agree more, therefore I bought a Mavic Mini.

      • The Pro was already a huge leap forward in portability - the old phantom required a full blown dedicated backpack lol. Where do you fly your mini? I found wind to be another major problem - in iceland and whenever near the coast generally. I would imagine it would be even more challenging for the smaller models?

      • Me too…

      Totally agree
I have the Mavic air and even in nsw there are just so many places I cannot fly it legally, same thing for overseas too.
But when you can fly them, the Mavic Zoom is amazing. My friend has one and I'm considering selling my Mavic Air for it.

Come to Queensland, our national parks are open to drones. It's just a few local councils that don't like them in their parks. But there's ways around them (Note CASA controls the air, usually the rule is you can take off or land in their property, flying over them is free game).

If you are quick and stealthy, low chance of getting caught. 1-2 mins up in the air, then back down and away from people.

You are encouraging people to do illegal things..
