I bought the Uber Light Down Jacket the other day for the same price. Went in store today and saw the Halo was discounted to the same price. Heading to the UK next month, is it worth owning both the Halo and the Uber Light? Tempted to buy this, but I'm not sure. Good deal regardless.

I bought the Uber Light Down Jacket and regretted very much, too thin for real winter. Halo should be better, but not sure up to what degree.
I experienced -12c day time whether, hooded Halo probably not enough.it's an OzB favourite this jacket - i bought the hooded version last year for the same price.
it's a great jacket that keeps you bloody warm, almost too warm for anything over 17 degrees IMHO. it scrunches up well also into the provided pouch. only gripes would be the sleeves are too long and the pockets too shallow but a bloody good jacket nonetheless
can't comment on the Uber Light Down jacket
You bought the hooded version for $99.90? That's a true bargain! I hope that sale comes up again!
When? I woulda pounced at the hooded one for 99 buckeroonies.
I live in the UK and have a halo with no hood which is fine for me.
This runs big, I’m a large in the Uber light (which I also have) but medium for halo.Hooded kept me warm across northern Japan in winter, except for walking in snow storms. It's lighter to carry around than a bulky winter coat and flexible for most situations as a traveller.
@UncleNige if your Uber light jacket is still with tags (and purchased within last 60 days), return it. They are only good for Perth winters let alone the UK.
Hooded one got me through Canberra winter (many -3 mornings)
Perfect time of the year for this.
Yeah perfect for fightin them bushfires we got goin on everywhere….
Someone had to say it, congratulations.
Free delivery applied to my order (under $100) and I also redeemed a $10 off afterpay promo I received via email earlier today. Thx OP
Bought the hooded Halo last year for $99 too. It is amazing and so warm. Non hooded would be fine too. Wore it in Japan-15C so plenty warm for UK. No need for hood in UK if you have a hat/beanie. I reckon it's worth owning both! Halo wraps up pretty small too.
These are great jackets. Bought the hooded Halo’s to see us through our Euro trip and they are doing a great job keeping the cold at bay and light rain.
Female version also at this price. Heading to NZ next year so bought one for myself and husband 👍
Not terribly happy with the quality of these. Bought last year for the missus and have already seen feathers coming out.
Perfect for Adelaide on Friday.. 45 degrees
I’ve worn my Halo non hooded all through Japan, Canada, France and Iceland. Amazing in the bitter cold probably down to -10 (I’m sure the hooded version is better).
Don’t think I’ve ever worn in in Australia though…Not sure about the Uber hooded down specifically but having a lighter down jacket for layering is still handy and squishes up much smaller
+one for this jacket.Wash it with a specialist product like Grangers Down Wash from Katmandu in a mesh laundry bag and air dry out of the sun, then finish with a short spin in a clothes Dryer and two or three tennis balls…this reconstitutes the down filling.Be careful you don't leave it in too long.Hang it on a coat hanger in the cupboard as you would a normal jacket and not compressed.
Bought the Halo $99.95 last yr and wore it to Japan and Europe including Mt Titlis in Switzerland (with Uniqlo heattech innerwear and t-shirt). Very warm and comfortable, but the hooded one would be much better
really responsible down…
Best jacket I ever had. Went to freezy cold in Europe and kept me warm. Have other more expensive jackets from Kathmandu but they didn't work well in last trip.
139 for me
