YouTube has a lot of free Chinese dramas these days
hi access to Chinese movies is determined by the movie app that is installed. If you have the Chinese version (which has all menus in Chinese) of the Xiaomi Hezi (Xiaomi Box) and it is installed in Australia, much of the content doesnt play as it is blocked.
This is the international version where the menu is in English.
Thanks, so I will need a Chinese version of Xiaomi Box.
Will it be still be blocked in AU if you pay monthly VIP subscription?
Some apps like PPTV, YouKu have VIP subs.
This or Vodafone tv?
Vodafone TV. I have three of them. $72 and comes with a 2yr warranty. The remote is great!
The only downside is that it runs Nougat Android OS which is really old now. However, it's not an issue as all apps work just fine on it.
Would either of these tv box be suitable for the steam link app on Android?
Only if you're planning on buying a compatible ethernet adaptor. Having tested my steamlink on both AC wireless and it's 100mbps connection, the experience is night and day.
Yes I am using a USB ethernet adapter with my Xiaomi box - works like a treat.
Loved mine until it bricked during the last update (only goes to boot/start screen and keeps rebooting).
Now I use the Vodafone box and can not say that I am missing the Mi box.
I love using mine as an emulator with a bluetooth controller.
Easily emulates Sega Master System, Game Boy, NES, SNES, and I think I was actually able to get Crash Bandicoot for PSX and Mario Kart 64 working.
Can you get Chinese movies/dramas/news from the Xiaomi Mi TV?
Or are these geo blocked?
