HI, thanks for your visit, the upgraded 3 man tent will have a deal on 21th December: time is :2019-12-21 6:50 am to 2019-12-21 2:50 pm
I have a couple of these tents. Great quality, like crazy good for the price. I got mine on Aliexpress, so compare with there before purchasing. But either way a great tent. Oh I have the 2 man silicone without the snow skirt.
What is it like on rock/sand? I've got a tent that is perfect in a green meadow, but stick it out in the bush where the tent pegs wont stay in or can't be inserted and it sucks big time..
Does it work okay with out tent pegs?
I feel for ya. I've never understood why anyone would get a hiking tent that cannot be erected without pegging, not just for difficult surfaces but more so you can lift the whole thing to dry out and clean in the morning. I have friends with their fancy pole configurations - yeah they look impressive but can they move camp 50metres in 1 minute like me with my old fashioned dome?
I have this tent. Bought the 'freestanding' cloud up 2 (upgraded version) off aliexpress when it first came out. Been on a few solo/duo hikes with it without issues. Setup is pretty easy. Surprisingly durable for the size/weight.
There's a few other decent value tent reviews here: http://frugalhiker.blogspot.com/
Discussion of this specific tent is here: http://frugalhiker.blogspot.com/2018/02/naturehike-2-man-clo…
Keep in mind, the cloud up 3 (3 man tent) is 400g-ish heavier but has more room. If you wanna go ultralight, then I'd say the cloud up 2 is sufficient for one or two people. I've never tried the cloud up 3, but I'd imagine if you were like me and wanted some extra space, 400g isn't too much extra to sacrifice for some extra room.
I've used my one person a few times now, including during heavy rain (remember when that was a thing?) - great tent!
any chance on a deal for 3 man tent OP?
