Just to note - I have the Sony XM2s (the generation previous to this). My other half has the TaoTronics set. The gist of it is that the higher price does indeed buy you significantly more results in terms of audio quality and noise cancellation (both passive and active).
For example, the way the padding on the XM2s are way more significant, and together with a better headband provides a better passive noise cancellation than the Taotronics. The active noise cancellation meanwhile is way better, so overall its significantly better.
One thing though, just to note - even at the price for the Sony, noise cancellation is not perfect. The noise cancellation tech on its own won't drown out all noise. If you play some music on the headphones though, it will likely drown out most noise.
Lastly, you may also want to consider your environment. In a quiet place or just at home, the basics are more than enough but in public spaces, while travelling, etc, mine has come has come fairly handy

These are 6 times the price. Like comparing a Lamborghini and a Toyota. Both do they job fine. But the more expensive brand will out perform it on every level. You get what you pay for.
Just bought these from TGG for the same price. Local pickup and black colour.
Amazon has much better return policy though. TGG are good only with eBay gift cards.

Used these all of 2019 as I was travelling for the year. Has saved me on many a bus ride/flight from drying to the sound of engine droning.
The ~25-30 hour battery life is legit and they're super comfortable on my larger than normal head.
