A Big Selection for bargain hunters for non premium panels!
I have 4 Hisense UHD TVs, been using them for around 5 years now, wouldn't buy anything else myself
Do you game?
I have a PS4, Xbox One X and Switch plugged into my oldest TV (65” pre series 6/7/8 model), latency is not an issue as those consoles are built with some lag in mind. I have an OSSC for retro stuff on a 40” and just invested in a MiSTer. With a cheap USB controller I really struggled to play NES games etc, but just picked up an 8bitdo M30 Bluetooth version and I can’t believe how responsive it is, don’t have any issues anymore.
I've got three Hisenses myself, one of which I use Ps4 a lot with, and set my brother with one for his PS4. They are great gaming TVs.
@Ozstache: Stoked with my 65R8, use it with an Xbox One X and a Switch.
If you have a flagship TV from the big brands then you'll know the difference but if you haven't then it will be fine.
Are any of these new tvs getting anywhere closer to eliminating motion blur particularly for footy/soccer etc?
Still have my f8500 and a smaller vt60 at my folks so in no rush but was curious as i havent been able to do any side by side comparisons with live sport on tv In store.
Last time i watched epl on a Oled Lg i(maybe a c7) i couldnt beleive how poor it was at handling fast motion.
Yeah OLED is bad for panning shots which means so much sport. Because the pixel response is so good there's no smooth flow to change. That's why it seems like it stutters (Slo-mo panning is even worse). You need a slight delay so the pixels blend together when changing. Hisense is a bit different as theres no black frame insertion which these LED TV's really need for smooth motion. Also their processing is poor and it just blurs and ghosts all over for fast movement. Haven't seen any improvement from last year. Costs them too much money for R&D to improve and no need when the P7 was just about the best selling TV. R6 has maybe the worst motion I've ever seen on any TV. Even their flagship last year P9 was a great TV but motion was so bad that people were returning it. Sony is known for their great motion and upscaling (mainly in their 9 series models which have the best processor) if you want good motion you have to pay for it which means everything else is better too like HDR, brightness, contrast, so either:
Samsung Q7 and up
Sony 9 series
Panasonic GX (even though it's IPS panel)
There are others that are ok with motion but the picture quality is garbage compared to these.
That's not a bad price. Better than most so called Black Friday deals.
Someone in a recent deal said Hisense are no good.
