can you still get the optus $99 ZTE though? if so where from?
Don't go near China-Tablets. My Zenthink just gave up it's life today.
Probably a diode blew. Yes, I can send it back and get replaced, till the diode blows again.
The Circuit internally can't handle the 12v input for too long, so everytime it's loaded, its under stress, till it blows.
What does it have with this tablet?
Same cheap (nasty) stuff. Save your money and go for the real deal
Weather Samsung, Sony, Apple, Acer … doesn't matter.
Today I received a Nextbook 7 Premium tablet with the following specs:
Cortex A8 1Ghz CPU
Capacitive Screen 7" 800x480
Gingerbread 2.3.1
512mb Ram
4GB storage
It costed me around $110 with cashback (Bucksoop) + $60 voucher to spend on the website. Took about 10 days to deliver (to my surprise, read a lot of poor reviews about the site - but paid with PayPal so decided to give it try). The thing looks like this (infomercial lol):

Won't mention the name of the website I bought from here but it's a much hated website and think's banned on Ozbargain due to lack of popularity (sockpupetting!) :P
To be honest the overall quality feels quite poor compared to my Asus Transformer… (and attracts fingerprints like hell… the thing is so glossy!) I think the screen res is just too low for a 7"… 800x480 looks fine on my Galaxy S2 but looks like crap on a bigger screen!
But hey for ~ $100 it's an extra toy around the house (probably going to sit in the bathroom like an old magazine lol). But if you really want a tablet that you'll use frequently I would suggest you save up and get a proper branded one like Samsung, Asus or Acer.
I'm interested in throwing away $100 or so if you want to email me the specific link (I've turned on being contactable, so it should let you contact me via my profile). cheers.
Sent email
Played around with it a bit more… comes with no market app and can't install it since it doesn't take Google accounts… annoying. Think a lot of Chinese Android tabs are like this… so you gotta find ways around it
There are speakers but no mics… so won't be able to use voice apps…
Tried games like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Homerun Battle 3D runs fine though
got email. thanks. there's hacks to get the market on to non-market devices. if i do get one i'll be googling it up to find out how.
im always up for a new toy .. send linkage my way please :)
salem, if you get any luck with the hack, let me know too
doesnt say wether its resistive or capacitive, if its only resistive, the optus tab is better!
if they arent boasting capacitive, then i'd hazard a guess at it being resistive.
still hasnt knocked the optus tab off the throan.
