When I posted the Genesis deal, plenty of people asked about charcoal and other BBQs in the range, this is the deal for you. Normally no discount on the Weber premium range, but this discount applies to the whole lot (excluding low lid Q and other already discounted BBQs like the $1099 Genesis - still have a couple of those!). • I'm looking at getting into low and slow / smoking. Do you sell the slow n' sear accessory? What other accessories do you recommend?

Edit: Looks like the buy 4 get one free accessory is not be applied to the cart.

You don't really need an accessory for low and slow. This is how it's done https://www.perthbbqschool.com/blog/snake-method

      • Thanks Drogo :)

The accessory promo is in store.
As far as low and slow goes, if you’re looking for a new BBQ the master touch plus has everything you need including the charcoal ring and deflector plate.

In terms of the aftermarket products like the slow and sear the store doesn’t stock those.

As the other commenter said you can use the snake method in the kettle, but you should use something to shield the cook from the direct heat and you do lose some cooking space.

      • you should use something to shield the cook from the direct heat

        What should be used?

Sorry, I missed the in-store only bit for accessories.

Can I click and collect. I'm planning to be in Melbourne for a big bash game mid to late January.

You can use use a decent thickness foil doubled over, some people used cinder blocks and bricks.

If you find the bbq and accessories you want, give the store a call - they’ll give you the free accessory offer over the phone and put the bbq aside for you at the sale price, just leave a 25% deposit via CC over the phone.

          • @Danimal86: Cheers

          • @Danimal86: What's the box dimensions? I may need to leave a kid behind.

            • @heal: I don’t have one in front of me, I only work in store some weekends - but I believe it’s 65x65x40. They can confirm if you call up to order 👍

Check out the JG BBQ Offset plate for a local alternative to the slow n sear. Also get onto the Weber Kettle Club Australia facebook page for heaps of info.

This is a great price on a premium Weber, but remember you can snag a second hand (non premium) for sub $100 which has less bells and whistles but will still smash out a decent feed.

Yeah valid call, and why I specifically shared the Master Touch Plus. If you’re happy with a kerbside beater you can definitely pick one up cheapish and sometimes in great nick - at this price I find the Plus tempting because on top of the fact you get a nice looking brand new model, you get kid thermometer, slide aside lid holder, cool touch lid vent, GBS grate, charcoal baskets, ring and heat deflector plate and the premium ash catcher. Pick up a clean used one and you may still want to grab a GBS grate ($70), offset plate ($110), charcoal baskets ($40) and all of a sudden your cheapie is $350 odd to cover most of what comes in the new Plus. And that’s without talking about the 10 year warranty on the new one.

Different horses for different courses of course, but if you’re looking for a shiny new cooker that can do a bit of everything, at the discounted price a new one is tempting!

Either way I’m happy to see people enthused about cooking with charcoal, best tasting food you’ll get!
