Still got a shelf of duty free Absolut, which I find the similarly good.
Maybe it's a source-type or taste buds thing, but Smirnoff red is cheap crap to my taste buds. And Smirnoff blue was easily the most feral thing I've ever put in my body. I can still taste it, 20yrs later.Absolut I didn't mind either, it didn't take long to learn Smirnoff was just expensive Turpentine haha
But oh man I completely understand tasting it 20 years later, nice to know I'm not the only one haunted.

Such cheap alcohol. Considering Australian spirits excise on this is $22.84 and GST on total is $2.69, we are up to $25.53. That leaves $4.07 which is made up of glass bottle cost, stopper, labelling, packaging, shipping and import costs, wholesaler margin, retailer margin and finally the actual liquid in the bottle. What do you think the vodka is actually worth in this? 200 distillations… 🤣

I'll never know if it was legit. It simply couldn't be. But I genuinely could not fault it the bottle, label/seal, and taste.
