    this month ate:

    Aaand now I'm hungry.

  • +4

I dunno, I know Tomb Raider is the big draw here but it doesn't interest me. I haven't heard of the rest.

    • I thought that was part of the point of these sorts of curated bundles, they find some cool, generally very well reviewed games for you that you may not have found on your own. As well as having at least one big name game to get attention.

      • +1

Yeah having looked closer Phantom Doctrine looks like it'll be my kinda game.

For those that haven't been following.
Classic is a higher tier than premium. Existing subscribers retain their "Classic" pricing and it includes 10 games per month ..
The classic $12 plan is no longer available to new or cancelled subscribers.

  • If you've been a legacy subscriber who's moved onto the Classic plan where you get the $12 a month price - try pausing and it will probably offer you $2 off for this month making it $10 for all the games.

    • -5

You will be kicked off the classic plan, i wouldn't recommend it.

      • +5

You don't get kicked off for pausing . get your facts right.

        From Humbe Bundle Website…

Can I pause my subscription? - Pausing your subscription is fine, and will not cause you to lose access to Classic for doing so.

        • -5

Pausing doesnt give that $2 discount, cancelling does, thats probably where the confusion lies, and that was before they changed to this structure.

Like i said i dont recommend it.

          • @garetz: Yes it does. Because I literally just did it.

            • -2

@dmac80: What you just said makes no sense, pausing the humble bundle doesnt affect their bottom line, especially now its on a new system, anyway congrats, if that is the case, but i still wouldnt risk it, this months bundle is too good to miss out on, maybe the $2 refund is not available to everyone and you got lucky.

              • +1

@garetz: Great good for you. Im telling you I paused this morning because I wasn't fussed on most of the games and got offered the discount. I'm quite aware of the difference between cancelling and pausing. I'm assuming the discount is based on whether you've been offered it previously. Maybe you would know given you seem to know everything their is to know about the humble bundle billing system?

                • @dmac80: my next billing date is 27 december if i pause now will that affect or change the date or will it move to late Jan next year?

Damn looks like they've made me a life member on the classic plan. Decent value at $12/month

    • +3

USD though. Not to necessarily disagree with you overall.

  • +1

6 of the 10 games were on my wishlist, so amazing value if you can get all 10 games.

Haha, signed up for Humble Bundle for the first time a couple days ago
Got access to the classic tier

  • Hmm kinda annoying it's not clear to me where I stand. Clicking the link it shows me as logged in and has the premium option selected and no classic. I was suspended this past month (not cancelled). Thier FAQ advises I would still be migrated to classic status, but this does not seem to be the case.

    • Would suggest raising a support ticket with them.

  • Abit rich for me. Game pass is fantastic on pricing compared to this.

    • +2

Game pass you never own any of the games so it's a completely different service in that regards.
Games also come and go on gamepass at microsofts discretion, versus getting a steam key and actually owning the game forever.

      • +1

I absolutely agree, however, the duration of "forever" is also at the discretion of Steam…

        • ..and the developer. there was a story about a disney game of Tron which can no longer be installed due to the DRM license not being paid for.

  • Just to clarify, if I "unlock my choices", is there going to be any other games added later on in the month that I miss out on by being an early clicker?

  • +2

Actually went and looked up the included games on steam, pretty much all of them look fantastic! I never would have known about half of them if not for this subscription, i mean a viking RTS? Sign me up! (oh i already did lol)

Side note, seems hugely uneccesary as a person on the classic plan to have to go and select/unlock every single game individually when you get all 10 games…

    • Yes it should have an 'unlock all' option
