[PC] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Standard Edition - $59.95 (Was $89.95) @ Battle.net

320

Purchased this morning.

Seems reasonable value to get this level of discount digitally for a COD game in a month or so of a release.

175gb though…

  • Cheapest yet for PC I believe!

    • +1

Yeah I believe so, unless a dodgy reseller offered better.

I'll add that the Premium battle pass is out for 1000 cod points, and it's $14.95 for 1100. The two new weapons are free for everyone and unlocked in the first 1-31 battle pass levels. Happy camping!

PS. If you get to level 100 with premium you should have earnt enough points to get the next battle pass free!

        • is it free if u paid $15

          • @furythree: Paying $15 can get you 1100 Cod points to purchase Premium battle pass worth 1000 cod points where you could potentially earn another 1000 cod points if you play lots and get to lvl 100 (battle pass levels) in next 58 days.

              @CookieCounter: Username checks out

            • -3

@CookieCounter: so what youre saying is i will still be out of pocket by $15 with imaginary points at the end of this

              so not free

              nice mental gymnastics

              • +2

@furythree: His point is that you can earn enough points for the second battle pass to be free, he never said you'd get the $15 back.

                • @andigaming: Yeah key word is 'next' in 'next battle pass free'. Heck I got 500 cod points for free (yes actually free) by just buying the game, so I was already halfway there.

                • -1

@andigaming: i know what he meant

the next battlepass isnt free because the points you got still cost you $15 for the privledge of grinding to unlock it via the battlepass

hope you guys feel that sense of pride and accomplishment afterwards

It should of been this price at launch like it was on the consoles!

    • +1

Which honestly has more to do with physical sales vs digital than Console vs PC. The digital version for console are $99

      • This, not an overly fair comparison. Digitally this is actually great. Console digital sales are usually minimal around 15% on their first discount (Black Friday)

        • I mean, don’t get me wrong. It sucks that Activision decided not to do physical copies for PC but there is a big divide between digital and physical prices.

  • Game is still broken. Fun, but broken

  • Is the story mode good like division 2

  • +1

Ah good news, I've been wanting to play this cross play with some mates of mine. This price is reasonable considering how digital sales of COD games go.

  • Probably the least enjoyable cod for me. Needs a huge overhaul but u don’t see it happening anytime soon. Unless you’re a below average player, the people you get matched up with will make you want to pull your hair out thanks to the skill based matchmaking. It doesn’t help that the game is plagued with connection issues as well

  • GOD ,175gb, my ssd only 128gb

    • A true OZbargainer would have multiple SSD's! :P

    • Likewise. LOL

  • Purchased, ty OP

  • Why don't they release on Blueray for PC :( I only have 100GB data per month

  • Good price for a horrible game. Modern Patentwarfare, SBMM and algorithms should not dictate the entire functionality of a game.

  • Works out to be $38 if you turn on Korean VPN and buy it on Battle Net.

Edit: turns out you need a Korean account tied to Govt ID to be able to do this :(

      Good effort though.

  • I ended up getting a refund.

Kept crashing to black screen every 3minutes. Computer stopped responding and had to hard reboot.

Updated to latest drivers and even lowered the GPU's clock, below stock. No change.

    • What hardware outta interest?

      • i7 920 @ 3.6ghz
        Sapphire R9 390
        24GB RAM

        • Expecting it from that CPU is very very hopeful

          • +2

@scuderiarmani: No doubt, I don't expect FPS above 60, but I do expect it to run and not crash.

Event viewer is spewing about AMD drivers:

"Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

I've cleaned uninstalled using DDU in Safe Mode, re-installed latest drivers. Reboot between each step. Same problem.

I can run Overwatch + Black Ops 3 perfectly ok.

Ah well, I just saved $60 LOL

            • +2

@sssbp: I thought the minimum is an i5 3 series though. So I presumed it wouldn't be overly happy.

Did someone say Techfast upgrade lol

So they drop a much bigger discount than Black Friday only 1 week later? I know they are a business but seems a bit scummy.

    • Yeah I don't like that sorta practice

    • Everything about this franchise is scummy.
