    If you don't rinse it well, there will be germs.
    If you rinse it well, it will stay clean.
    And that applies for bamboo, plastic or whatever.
    If you don't like, don't buy it though - some of us looking for enviro friendly stuff appreciate the option to buy it, that's all

  Sadly, due to the non-recycleable plastic packaging from Amazon, there would be very little environmental benefit of using these bamboo brushes
