  • This would be my choice over the Galaxy Watch due to Wear OS - supports ordinary Google Pay rather than gimped-up Samsung Pay, and Wear OS has way more apps available. The dual-layer screen on this would be a boon for battery life too.

    • Does it answer the phone calls :)

      • -2

Not sure, I think Wear OS supports this now. Save yourself the embarrassment of looking like a total knob though and pull your phone out of your pocket to answer it, though (or have it connected via BT in your car).

        • lol thanks for the advise

@Brisbane1: With such dry sarcasm and wit, I suspect you are the kind of person who does try to use their watch to answer a call.

            • @xyron: Douche much?

              • @FabMan: I'm not the one answering calls on my watch, so not me, no. The OzBargain hive mind has clearly voted with their negs though, so I guess it'll be easier to spot an OzBargainer because they'll be the ones listening to music or having conversations on their phone via loud speaker in public.

                • @xyron: Or maybe they don't like your attitude.

                  • @FabMan: I should probably hand in all my remaining internet credits and become a hermit if I cared what other people thought about my "attitude" online.

                    • @xyron: But people should care about your opinion?

                      • @FabMan: Should they? It's a matter for them. People obviously do care about it given they're reaching for the neg button :)

I think you'd be in the minority if you thought people who used speakerphone devices in public weren't knobs/douchenozzles/whatever.

      • Their website seems a little vague on that, but some reviews confirm that it is possible (e.g. https://youtu.be/aj1Hxf-oIik?t=139)

      • Yes, it has a mic.

    • I got the lower end e2 and got to say pretty happy with it based in value. The samy watch be great too but for price and value people should consider these ticwatches.

Seems to have ok reviews, it's updated version that's not available in Aus is the Pro 4G which has double RAM, better glass etc etc.

This is a good price for it though, just be aware that it may be laggy.

Best price I've seen for it yet, so I just ordered one then came here looking to post the deal, but I've been beaten to the punch:)
The hardware in this might not be as snappy as some more recent smartwatches, but at this price it is killer bang for the buck. I was looking for good battery life, water resistance, Spotify, preferably WearOS and decent HR/fitness tracking. Nothing else I've seen provides all that at this price.
Lots of good reviews on YT if you're looking for more info.
Don't stress if you haven't got the $ right now though, this model has been close to this price several times in the last year & likely will be again, especially if & when the new LTE model hits Aus.

Exact reason I bought it. Has all the features you listed that I was interested in for a fraction of the price. I have seen it drop to like within $15-$20 of this price but I believe that was last year?

      • Yeah. OzBargain history (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/mobvoi-ticwatch-pro) indicates that it can be had for around $270 on a semi-regular basis, but this is an extra good deal.

        • +1

Yeah, it's frequently $296 on MobVoi site but was waiting for another >$270 sale to purchase. Saw Mobvoi advertising black Friday special which is their standard special so I thought I'd check amazon out and caught it just before the flash sale started. Solid value in this watch at this price.
