The Monopoly Game for Game of Thrones Fans

Monopoly gameplay gets re-imagined for fans of HBO's Game of Thrones. In this edition of the Monopoly game, the gameboard, packaging, tokens, money, Chance cards, and game pieces are based on the show. And, one player becomes the Master of Coin and is in charge of The Royal Treasury's money instead of having a bank and banker like in classic Monopoly. The game comes with cardboard coins inspired by the currency in the Game of Thrones TV show in place of Monopoly money. It also features an Iron Throne card holder that plays the Game of Thrones theme song.

You'll Pass Go for 7 exciting rounds then the 8th round will be a colossal disappointment and make you question why you even bothered

Is there some irresistible urge for people to bag season 8 in anything related to Game of Thrones?

It's just too easy… It basically ruined the entire show imo

I hold the opinion that it's mostly a result of herd mentality. The eighth season seemed fine to me, but when some people complain about this and that, then it snowballs into people agreeing and coming to a consensus based on a kind of peer pressure.

@kahn: You can't honestly think any of those storylines were wrapped up well.

Jon brought back for seemingly no reason, Euron showing up to stab Jamie who got crushed by bricks, the white walkers and 3 eyed raven having no real effect on the plot at all.

            Man, the list goes on.

            • @chemical-miracle: I'm not going to claim that I liked all the elements, but it was very good for the most part. I haven't let others' opinions affect my own enjoyment for the show. I find it a bit sad that so many people focused on the bad instead of the good.

@kahn: Nah, you just don't understand the show

@TEER3X: It must be my low IQ that also prevents me from understanding Rick and Morty.

      • Given that it was one of the most popular shows in the world, and Season 8 - the wrap up.. was just… awful, then yeah. I honestly can't believe how bad it was. I was a fan of the first 7 seasons, but I'm not going to watch any of it again. While I do think that there are people who will listen to what other people are saying about certain aspects and start agreeing and being more bothered by those things.. there is a reason why it was universally panned right away. Many reasons, actually.

Fair enough if you honestly didn't like the last season based purely on your own judgement. But my previous point has been proven by the people who down-voted my comments. It's as if I'm not allowed to hold a different opinion, one must follow the herd. It's groupthink. That's what I feel has affected people's opinions - whether it be for season 8 of GoT or for Donald Trump :-)

          • @kahn: I don't think that it proves your point, especially since one of your comments was stating that you think the disappointment/hate is mostly a herd mentality in the first place. And the upvote/downvote can be a lazy way of agreeing and disagreeing with comments.
There's been many critiques of Season 8. It's not the minority deciding that it sucked and the majority being a herd and just going along with it. People treat it as a joke now because it was. And I wasn't just disappointed, but angry at some of the messages they ended up on. But if you enjoyed it, and are unbothered by the criticisms, then continue to enjoy.
Edit: Admittedly I don't follow American politics, but I do think people have valid reasons for not being a fan of Trump at all, but that's all I'll say on that.

@kk3: In my view, the common hatred of season 8 is also emblematic of how polarised many people are these days. They either love something and defend it to the death or they bag the crap out of it. Annother excellent example are the reviews on imdb.com where most "reviewers" vote a tv series or even some movies with either one star or ten. I don't think it's a healthy attitude to have.
