    I've generally found Quicklens to be cheaper for my contacts, code BLFI is 15% off on orders over $78.

      QuickLenses is cheaper but only if you don't have private heath care cover.

      If you have private health, this works out cheaper with their refund.

      • Right, what sort of refund do you get on contact lenses? I've never had private health insurance…

              • @thydzik: Wait, I'm confused. I checked the HCF Mid Extras > under 'Glasses and contact lenses' it says the annual limit is $200. But specifically on the contact lenses it says the 'indicative benefit' amount is $140. I'm unsure of what this meant?

                Either way, thanks for sharing us this. It would be good to have this private insurance extras considering there are others included for ~$256 pa.

                  @DardyMate: I had a look at the policy.

                  The indicative benefit amount is the max paid per item.
                  I.e. you contact lenses pair needs to be less than $140 a pair, else there will be a gap.
                  since a pair with specsavers is less then $140 you will be fine claiming the full $140 per pair.
                  You can definitely claim up to $200 per year.

                  The other thing i love about the HCF extras is that you get 2 free dental checks, clean and scale a year and 1 free fluoride treatment.
