I prefer the higher lid model personally. So much more useful for roasting, which I do 50% of the time.
I would also prefer the higher lid, but is it $100 better since without the discount for the premium version, it would cost $479.
Depends how much you roast. I would use it. Has a thermometer in there lid as well.
Love using it when camping.
Thanks, with the price difference, I'll probably settle for the non-premium version. I don't foresee myself doing a lot of roasting at this stage and I'll buy a separate thermometer with the $100 saved.
@muddrex: Worst case if you later decide you want it, you can buy the lids separately. I think it would fit straight on.
Newer model comes in black, older model in the off-white.
