Lol the title made me think of the other meaning of CBT and I was wondering how it would help get over those 😅

In case anyone is not aware and thinks they're suffering from depression/anxiety/other mental health issue, I'd recommend seeing your GP and asking about a mental health plan. You can get 10 (6+4) medicare covered visits to a clinical psychologist and might be a stronger start to addressing it than trying to do it alone with books.

The problem with therapists is finding one you actually bond / feel comfortable with. Therapy is bloody expensive, even with the rebate. A free book (Such as this deal) is certainly worth it purely for further research and understanding

I've reached my Medicare threshold this calendar year. I think it's about $2700 for non concession card holders. Card holders it's even less, like $500 or so.
Each $200 psychologist appointment I get back $185.
Before reaching the threshold I would get back $130ish.
So what I'm saying is if you need help, even though it can be expensive, the rebates can be considerable. And if you find a therapist that works for you, the benefits far outweigh the costs.

Agree, get the Mental Plan and if you are a teen usually the first Go-to the GP sends to would be Headspace.

  • Thanks OP …CBT is in the psychiatrist arena hence expensive ..will give this a go..Never mind the the rest of the commenters.. thanks for posting this

  • sorry i'm being stupid but how do i access this? - can't add to cart or anything like that.
