Checked the movie tab at the Google Play app and found this offer.
I tried looking for the web link, but couldn't find it, unfortunately Found it, have updated the link.

Most likely targeted, a couple of my alternate Google accounts received similar offer.

• Once you rent your movie, you’ll have a limited period to watch your movie which will be noted at checkout as viewing periods vary.
• Valid in Australia only, and for purchases made in Australian Dollars.

    I think I usually made the purchase when there are sales going on (movie or books), although the rest of the accounts are connected through the family library.
