Seems like a good price for the Australian version of this vacuum. Fulfilled by Amazon direct via Roborock so should be good for local warranty support.

Really? The only "discount' version I came across was 849. Before posting I checked ozbargain past details too and could only find one deal cheaper than this and that was the European import version that expired a few months ago.
They had a deal on the Roborock AU distributor's eBay store a while ago which brought it into the high 6`s, but we weren't ready to purchase then.
This is a pretty good price though for AU distribution.
It was 749 about 3 days ago on their website

They claim to be their official Australian Store and ship only the official Australian versions.
For the last 2 months, they have offered 25% off with the code FLASH25Is this store not legit?
Anyone know what the cashback would be from cashrewards?
Category shows "Kitchen and dining", so I assume eligable for 7% back?, which would make this an excellent deal < $700

S5 is basically the same machine but it's better on carpet and over $200 cheaper (with ebay code).
Depends on your house.
Two issues with the S5
- Doesn't support the virtual walls (requires the tape on the floor) I am told this is essential with mopping, so it knows not to mop the carpet!! I am also told the mopping is crap, so don't worry about this.
- Doesn't support 2 story houses (unless you reset the floor layout, but you could probably buy 2 S5's for the price of an S6!!Other pros's of the S6
- More efficient cleaning pattern (S5 is damn efficient though)
- Better side brush (rubber apparently lasts longer)
- Main brush collects more hair and is easier to cleanBut yes the S5 has the same motor with better suction and is a LOT cheaper.
With the S5, unsure if you say say click on a room or say clean kitchen to google and off it goes and cleans that room only. I know the S6 supports that, and you can drag drop virtual room walls\barriers in the app.
I want the S7, but no way can I justify the expense over the S5
S5 has virtual 'no go zones' mate. Its the S4 youre thinking of.
Okay, thanks the s5/s50 reviews comments i read must be wrong.
Still looks like with the s5 you can’t specify individual rooms or set floor types per area, just no go zones@UltimateAI: Yeah. So if I want to do a spot clean in my living room, I have to draw a square over it each time.
I have it set to vacuum every day, which is how I believe it was designed. A little, a lot, so I never use it.
I also have solar, so it may as well do the whole house whilst we are at work and recharge whilst im producing peak power.
How does the S50 compare?
https://www.amazon.com.au/Xiaomi-Generation-Sweep-Mop-Connec…Not sure what the difference is between your link and this link:
https://www.amazon.com.au/Original-Cleaner-Automatic-Sweepin…Much cheaper, same images used in the advert and from the same Amazon seller.
That will be the original gen not gen 2
Unsure of the feature differences thoughI think Xiaomi just like using "Original" to indicate it's authenticity, rather than indicating the version.
The pictures are definitely not 1st gen as that's what I currently have.
It also has pictures of the mop as well.
Part numbers are almost identical but a subtle difference.Very confusing, one way or another!
EDIT: Cheaper one has 1800 pa suction - more expensive one is 2100 pa.
Which was the difference between the 1st and 2nd gen, so I think you're right.Pictures are completely misleading!
There's also the other similar vacuum from Xiaomi (Mijia though, rather than partnering with Roborock) that may be of interest to people.
Apparently it's comparable to the S60 in spec.https://www.gearbest.com/goods/pp_3008184391340867.html
Down to $466 right now.
Bought one of these from gearbite a few months ago. It's better at mopping but has a significantly smaller battery. Xiaomi Home app is a PITA to use to control it.
I ordered one the other week so hopefully get it in a couple of weeks.
I've the very first gen vacuum and usually just do one room at a time so I reckon I should be ok.
There's an S60 (pretty sure it's the same) with 20% discount on checkout bringing it to $679

Good price when considering cashrewards/shopback.
just curious about the pricing of these and found this:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Smart-Floor-Robot-Vacuum-Cle…Floralivings eBay store also has the same deal on eBay after
S50 $503.20
S6 $749
E35 $319.2
Seems to be the normal price.
Roborock seem to constantly have 25% off the S6
