My quick review: I bought this Charge 4 a few weeks ago.
Pros:
- Fantastic sound clarity. Good isolation between vocals and music.
- Deep bass (maybe a little too much, as I listen to 80s pop). But there is a 'secret' low-bass setting which can be found online.
- Awesome battery. I've used it about 10 hours so far, and its still at 50% battery. I guess my volume is fairly low as I use it indoors.
- Waterproof/Dustproof - So you dont have to be too fragile with it. I have it in the kitchen as I'm cooking/cleaning.
Cons:
- Directional Speaker. So reconsider if you want a 360 degree speaker
- Minimum volume is kinda loud. So not really suitable for an office environment
- If you really want a smaller/portable speaker, consider the JBL Flip5. (https://www.jbl.com.au/JBL+FLIP+5-.html). For me, the speaker will be used at home 99% of the time. So I didn't mind it a few CMs larger.
Bargain note: You can buy this same speaker for $143 right now. Better than this OP deal.

Highly recommended even at the ~$150 price point.
Do wish the minimum volume was half as loud. Other than that, it's a beast of a portable speaker.

I have a JBL Charge 3 and I was going to upgrade to a Charge 4 but having seen a number of reviews comparing the two. I'll stick to my Charge 3
