    Yayyyyy, more landfill.

This isnt a deal. The toy in a happy meal is priced into the meal (i.e. it costs more than a small cheeseburgar meal).

Informing what the toy is isnt a deal unless every time they change the toy it counts as a new deal?

      • +25

Wrong. Cheeseburger Happy meal is $5.80, a small cheeseburger meal is $6.55. You are actually getting a discount and a free toy if you buy a happy meal.

But I am with you on this being classified as a deal, a toy is standard with a happy meal.

          • @Bryanalves: Toys are usually able to be purchased without the purchase of a happy meal. The toy is free if you buy a happy meal. How is that not a deal?

          • +3

@Bryanalves: how about free limited edition toy?

      • +2

You also get the box which is half the fun.

    • +1

Nothing better than corporate induced nostalgia for shitty grease flavoured carboard

    • +1

I will get you social justice medal in the mail as soon as you provide me your address for your services to the woke.

  • +26

The only one I recognise is the transforming burger, and I really want it.

    • +4

I still have mine, along with the fries and drink

      • +2

So jealous! My aunty was manager of a McDonalds store at the time so I was able to get all the toys even though I very rarely ate McDonalds.

        • there was one from the set i missed out on. but i can't for the life of me remember what it was.

          • +1

@tdw: there was a big mac, a cheeseburger, fries and a drink in this series.

            • @Laserface: thanks!

i have the sudden urge to go on ebay to find that missing big mac

      • +1

There was a big breakfast too. They are the few toys from a box that i keep until now. My friend still kept the big mac and few other burgers…

    • +2

lol, yes. First thing i searced for.

    • Yes! They just need to bring that range back

  • +1

I still have that dino happy meal box! Passed onto my kids now.

  • +4

OP how do you know when it is end?

15 to collect for 6 days is a killer

  • +8

No sonic video game = no deal.

    • +1

I still have all the Sonic Games stashed away in a box…most likely out of battery now.

    • Clicked on the deal just to see if there were the Sonic games.

Maybe in another 40 years time :(

  • +4

Dammit, no Kermit the frog skateboard. :(

  • +6

You can usually buy a happy meal toy for $2. You reckon maccas will do the same for these?

    • I hope so! So keen to get some of these…

    • Yeah, my local is selling them for $2. They let me choose which ones I wanted too.

  • I need Bugs Bunny.

    • +5

      What's up ?

      • +1

Did you mean "What's up, doc?"

        • His name's Jake though?

  • -2

More like remember all those extra toys we didn't sell? Lets re-release it as the retro lineup.

    • +2

You reckon they've been holding onto them for 30 years?

      • Doubt it. If my bargain knowledge is on point, Patti the Platypus is worth ~$100.

      • Explain the gap between 1999-2013

    • +1

They have “2019" on the bottom of them.

  • +1 for Maccas desperate marketing ploy (that'll most likely work very well).

Oh, you know those toys you enjoyed as a kid but now you are an adult with your own kids? We're bringing them back so you can relive your childhood through your kids.

    • I don’t have kids but still want them.

      • +12

There’s plenty of unwanted kids to collect.

    • -8

you know those toys you enjoyed as a kid but now you are an adult with your own kids?

Your parents exposed you to harmful advertising from McDonald's which creates an irrational lifetime consumption pattern of McDonald's products provided the victim is aged below 8 years of age before exposure.

Now you continue the cycle with your own children who will also become irrational lifelong consumers of McDonald's products.

  • +1

They should have brought back Snoopie or even Bionicle!

    • I have the whole set of the big Snoopie range that was out in roughly 2002.

  • +2

I've got a happy meal toy hanging from my mirror in the car from 1986.

    • +1

Is it a fuuuullly sik VL Commodore?

  • +4

Anyone know exactly how this works? One toy per day? All released on the first day?

    • They have a box of assorted toys and let you choose which ones you want.

  • That's pretty funny, I remember the Dino box. My son wants the power ranger. Will they all be released and you get a random one, or does it switch by day/week?

  • +3

My most memorable Happy Meal toy, and such simpler times
    https://youtu.be/XJxyuMXJFbY

    • "95cents with each burger purchase" sounds good.

  • no yugioh cards?!?!? how dare they!

  • I have just been searching for 20 McDonald's plush dogs. I believe they were happy meal toys between 2003 and 2004.

  • +5

I was hoping for the plastic spaceships, complete with polystyrene burger container…..

    • +1

OK, im not crazy, I was going to ask about these! I think the meal came in these spaceships…

  • +1

Love to get my hands on one of the plastic spaceships

  • +4

    2013 is retro?

  • +1

The Muppets toys were the best.

  • Excuse me Coles and Woolies …

  • -6

Anyone tried the happy meal challenge? Purchase one or more happy meal(s) and insert all contents into a blender (with or without toy) and drink =)

    • You guys are weird. I thought we were talking about nostalgia, I remember a few crazy friends doing this back in the day.
But hey I guess you wanna neg me because you missed out on having a good laugh when some of your mates did something stupid. Btw most of them are now married with children albeit with a few stories to tell.

      • +1

Just ignore it. I've been downvoted for posting deals in the comments and noone responds as to why.

      • Don't take it to heart - this place is laughable sometimes. Negs are contagious.

  • -1

The nugget toys look like turds…

    • +2

Yeah, they are supposed to resemble the nugget after it came out the other end.

    • cannot unsee

  • Bringback the WSC poster?

  • I vaguely remember the various toy helments that act as a cover that came with the happy meal. Only firefighter and police helment comes to mind… But that was like 30 years ago…

  • Can you ask for a specific toy?

    • +2

Yes. with the usual sets they rotate through two boys and two girls toys a week and you can always request specific ones. This set is more likely to have all 15 available at once.

  • +1

Does the Tamagotchi function fully? It seems crazy that they can just give one away in a happy meal when they are so expensive to buy by themselves.

    • +1

It functions as a novelty toy.
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVc0H_hYTkM

      • +1

Oh god, it doesn't function like a Tamagotchi at all. Thought there was something strange about just giving Tamagotchi away. Makes more sense that they are giving away a red light shaped as a Tamagotchi.

        • +1

          The music was fun though!

  • +2

I wonder if they’re the same quality as the originals or if they’re just “like” the originals but at today’s level of quality

  • +3

    Where are the Muppet Babies?

    • Exactly! Maybe they'll come under the Vintage Happy Meal Toy Collection.

  • The only happy meal toys I remember from when I was young enough to eat happy meals are the Snoopy ones.

  • So getting that Power Ranger.

    • Mighty Morphine Power Ranger.

  • Surprised there's no Snoopy toys :( Pretty bummed I don't know where mine all went.

  • -1

    If they going all retro.

How about making the big Mac not sarcastic

  • anyone know what order will they be given out?

    • +2

They are random. You won't know until you open it. Person at the counter was kind enough for me to have a feel for the toy since I wanted Red Ranger.

      https://m.imgur.com/gallery/1fDZyLb

      • I only want two of them. I hope my Macca's will let me do the same

      • That sucks majorly!

  • +1

I was hoping they'd have the xmen toys. The ones where they were all sitting on these little carts and could be linked together via the wheels

  • +7

Managed to get the two I really wanted. Maccas girl helped me find them. FYI, Toy 1 is the Hamburger Changeable and Toy 5 is the Dino Changeable. They are sealed but numbered.

    • +4

      Toy 6 is Grimace

    • +13

Edit: I originally only wanted my favourite two thinking I would need to eat the Happy Meal. Can confirm you can ask to just buy the toy for $2.50 each instead of a $5.60 Happy Meal. So … I bought the rest:

      Toy 1 - Hamburger Changeable
      Toy 2 - Cowboy McNugget
      Toy 3 - Mailman McNugget
      Toy 4 - Fireman McNugget
      Toy 5 - Dino Changeable
      Toy 6 - Grimace
      Toy 7 - Hamburglar
      Toy 8 - Hotwheels Thunderbird
      Toy 9 - Not produced
      Toy 10 - Bugs Bunny
Toy 11 - Beanie Baby Platypus
Toy 12 - My Little Pony
      Toy 13 - Furby
      Toy 14 - Red PowerRanger
      Toy 15 - Hello Kitty
      Toy 16 - Tamogotchi

      • +3

        cannot plus-vote this enough

        • @dealbot please edit your post and put the numbers in. The bags are sealed and unlabelled and staff don’t know which bag is which toy

      • +2

Manager at Broadway NSW claimed they didn't get theirs until I pointed out I got one yesterday. There was a guy willing to look, but it's waaaaay too busy here for him to look for the ones I want :(

So now I have a Hamburglar to go with Grimace

      • +1

They are $2 each at my local.

      • So there's no number 9?? What happened there?!
